I is upgrading from 56kps to 1536kps! OMFG. I've been known as the dial-upper, the lagger, the hacker (people thought I hacked 'cause I lagged so much), and the faulty newb who causes uberena matches to suck. No more lagging on anything, woohoo. I had dial up for TEN YEARS, and never experienced anything faster besides my 'Pennswoods Internet Explorer Accelerator' (boy, a genious program, made images 8 colors so webpages would load faster.) My cable modem comes this Wednesday, and after I download everything I've wanted to that I couldn't on dial-up, I'll go on SC:BW and.. not lag.

You can rifle through the DLDB at lightning speed now. Maybe even organize a UMS section cleanup.

I remember having dial-up in 97' - 99', back then no one had anything better, so you barely lagged. Yes. I remember the lagginess of StarCraft games when I was 7.

is that 1536kb/s upstream or downstream. Somehow my grandmother got cheap fiber-optic when they were wiring her neighborhood, and so she gets 1500kb/s upstream.

Definitely downstream. When I had DSL I had 1536 kb/s down and 384 up. 1.5mb/s up is for some parts of the country that Verizon is uberizing, wish I was there.
