Shoot me for looking for something that's not Starcraft, but does anyone have a copy of Defense of the Ancients 6.39 (6.39a)? I sort of missed it, and they don't like to host non-current versions.

Is DotA that good? I like ToB and kind of like AotZ, but I heard from a few people that DotA is plain boring.

I enjoy DOTA, and I play it now and then (Fav character: Lightning Revenant). Mostly with my brother, though. I agree with you that TOB was the better game. Too bad its hard to find a game of it on Bnet. =(

I haven't used him since an older version.. And I only play in 1v1s and 2v2s really. In 1v1 he's pretty damn good

Yeah, Centreri, thats one of the reasons I don't like playing with public or in large games... people are mean persons and I'm not very good at 5v5. You should try playing like smaller games with friends to get familiar with the heroes, items, etc. ;p

Ya, DOTA is by far the most offensive game I play. Even as you get better, people will constantly yell at you for something in it. Its fun though, saying the mean persons shut up.
PS: The only thing more offensive than dota players are sc players talking about dota.

Yeah, the DotA pubbie community sucks. Don't worry, you'll never see them again though.
I suggest playing 5v5, as DotA was intended, but go -ap and pick simple heroes to start with.

It's easier 1v1, less stuff to worry about means more time learning heroes and items. Then, once you dont have to waste 10 hours looking at your shops for a good item, you can start playing those more competitive 5v5 games ~.~
