I want the battle to be huge.
Introduction
On February of 1945, the U.S. Marines and Navy landed on the island of Iwo Jima to conquer the airstrips on the island. The Battle of Iwo Jima lasted for 40 days, causing approx. 20,000 Japanese deaths and 7,000 American deaths.
Features
InterfaceEach player will be given time to set up the defense / offense, depending on which side they pick (the given time will be 5 - 10 minutes). The objective of the defending Japanese Imperial Army is to halt the American assault for 45 minutes (StarCraft time). The objective of the attacking American army is to conquer Mt. Suribachi and the two airfields before the 45 minutes is up.
New StuffI think it's the first war-based map to allow the players to choose what they want to do, like what spot to land in, what kind of traps to lay on beaches (land mines, mortar targeting, etc), and of course, it'll be newb-friendly.
