Hi, I made this map using SCMdraft. It is my first melee map (but I have made several other UMS maps before), thus I am unfamiliar with balance and doodads, I have already recieved comments from other considering the fact that there should be more expansions to go to, what I have added since the beginning of the creation are much more doodads (Originally I had 17 or so) and also tried to balance it a little.

Please help me make a good map! smile.gif

Looks like you got some basic balance down such as nats, resources chokes, space, but you made things positionally unbalanced by puting expos in weird spots and having some tankable and some protected better. Otherwise it just needs a few more resources on the map, so try to make a more symmetrical map.

Thanks for the comments but I have a question on how are the expoes put in weird positions? I made them all about the asme distance from the natural (I hope) and also they are all relatively close to the person's edge of the base. :/

Also I realized the fact that some were more protected but I didn't know how to fix it so I was kind of stuck and where should I put the extra expansions? Thanks for the constructive criticism though, I will work on it ASAP smile.gif

Thats the tough part, it will be hard on a map design like this to make sure that all players, expansions and whatnot are all in corresponding locations.

For example, teal's natural can be attacked from the other side of the cliff, so can red's, however, red can't reach that ice without a dropship.
Also, Teal's 2nd expo should be set up like the others but it isn't, then furthermore, there is a random expansion hanging between blue and teal.
Red has easier access to one island expansion while blue has easy access to both.

I would go for a new map, same idea if you want. Put it in the middle this time, maybe use 2/4 players and try to balance terrain a bit more.
