I know this is very sudden, but over the last couple of days I have come to the decision to retire from my position of GM at SEN, and leave Starcraft and the forums behind me. It hasn't been an easy decision, and no doubt I'll be back occasionally, or you might catch me lurking somewhere, but I will be leaving tonight. I may post tomorrow if anyone has said anything that needs answering, but this is it for me - it's time to move on. Also, to those who have helped build the SEN alliance on CN - yes I will be resigning my position there also and I will post a thread on the forums in due course. I would encourage SEN members who haven't already signed up to our alliance to do so to help keep it going. Look in the Games forum for details in a stickied topic.

The fact is that I'm at university now and building a fledgeling social life which I haven't really experienced before. I'm also dedicated to my girlfriend and I have found it difficult to give her the amount of attention I would like to, because of my Internet and gaming hobbies. It has got a bit out of control - I regularly stay up until 4am or later either on forums or games, and that is something which is having a detrimental effect on all aspects of my life.
This is perhaps not the end, at least not for ever. Once I have my life balanced and my priorities sorted out I may return occasionally to socialise a bit, but for now I'm hanging up my hat.
It's been a good two and a half years in which I've met some nice people and had some good times. I'll miss this place but it's for the best.

Yeah, I've occasionally spent more time than I wished I'd had on the net, but its not that difficult to control if you work at it. But even then, sometimes the time is right to move on to new things and leave older things behind. I'm sure that time will come for me eventually, too. Just not yet.

Will, I'd be appreciative if you stayed on as an honorary CN alliance member. Stop in when you feel the urge to - you were one of our greatest assets and friends. However, I will not ask you to take any administrative or diplomatic positions. Good luck with your social life!
