Hey there!
Ok this is a random muscle car pricing question. Is there anyone out there with real knowledge of muscle cars that could help me?
I was looking to buy a 1970 Pontiac LeMans muscle car from my friend. He wants $10,000 for it. He bought the car about 1.5 years ago for $5,000. He garages the car, but does use it as a daily driver to school and back.
ok this is the email he sent me about what the car has:
hey
well i will get those photos on the way right now. and info on the car it is a
1970 pontiac lemans with a rebuilt 350ci small block v-8. the engine has a performance cam shaft not a racing one makes the car streetable. aslo a performance intake and carb. the carb is a 750 cfm edelbrock only two years old and i just re-built it. and car has a new heater core and fan. the radio works ok it is new and plays cds but is not very loud. the exhaust is dual flowmaster 21/2 inch straight flow exhaust. the american racing wheels and new front tires the rears are in good shape. the rear end is a limited slip not sure on the gears. the trans is a turbo 350 works well for being 37 years old. under the car is pretty clean for not being a show car. the oil and sparkplugs are new as of last year and the paint is ok not show but not crap a perfect street car. the interior is mostly new only a few years old. but just put in new racing seatbelts. the guages work with the exception of the clock the wires for that were redone to be used as a radio and rmp gauge. the car is very solid only rust in small places but cant see and the glass is all good. the tint can be removed i didnt do it but looks like it will come off with some tint remover from an auto parts store. the spoiler is black and was put on a few moths ago just for some style. it is black because the cars paint shifts colors in the sun. the rear tail lights work but when they are turned on with the other lights the one doenst work when you hit the brake. i have a new wireing harness for that problem but i am waiting for it to come in the mail. the fuel tank is a 22 gallon standard tank with a high flow fuel pump. also the dash has cracks in it i have a new piece for that and also many other parts for the car. a few lesser things are the new MSD ignition but the actual key igniton needs to be replaced i have a new one. and miles the car has a total of 120,000 about but the engine was re-built a few years back. form what i know from the previous owner the car sat for many years and he paid a small amout for it and well the interior was being put in the shop was closed so he was without the car for 8 months. the whole car is complete and fun to drive turns heads everywhere i go. if you have anymore questions jsut let me know thanks.

All around it does look like the car is in nice shape, but there are a few problems.
So what is the car worth? Is it really worth 10,000? I would like to try and pay 7,000-8,000 for it.
Please, only people
who know what they are talking about when talking about muscle cars reply please.
Thanks
