I've never been able to really figure out how to make good spell/action/build buttons for my mods. I've always been under the impression that I'd have to use the blue and purple colors (that RetroGRP extracts the existing buttons as when you extract cmdbtns.grp) to make custom buttons. That just confuses the hell out of me.

Here's my question: If I made some buttons in yellow and black and grey, then put them in with the normal buttons and recompiled the .grp, would they stay yellow/black/grey or get messed up?

then i'd just have answer for only ur questions
if u use colours with correct colours setting of palette
then that will stay yellow/black/grey

Otherwise, if u make button image without yellow colours in the colours setting of palette
that will show colours as which u have used colours
but that would not effected for active/inert in button conditions

So if I do 'em in yellow with the correct shades from the palette, they will stay yellow?
