Why do the have to air at the same time? What benefits do either of them receive by competing with each other?
I would like to watch both shows, but I can't, so I just watch 24. Do they not see this?

It's based on money man. It cost alot to move shows from time to time. Also, they pay the network to set a show at a certain time or sometimes the executives choose it. Heroes probably didnt get a different time because there werent any space avaliable.

I think a better question is, why do people tend to bring their personal and irrelevant rants to the discussion forums?

I have never seen either show, so I might complain about their timing as well, but I personally don't care if I continue missing them or not, as they seem like mediocre shows anyway.

24 > Heros. Get with it man, or Jack Bauer is going to run your face into a moving eight-teen wheeler. Hell do it too.

It's all a matter of opinion. I prefer 24 because I've never seen heroes before
And yeah, use a DVR if you really care.
