Because the 2 cancels out the + and the = cancels out the 2 and then you add three and then you subtract 6. After that you add 8 and then times it by 60 and then divide by 60. Then you get 5! Dur! Never ask for the obvious

2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.
2.4 rounded to the nearest whole number is 2.
Rounding before adding produces: 2.4 + 2.4 = 2 + 2 = 4
Round after adding produces: 2.4 + 2.4 = 4.8 = 5

It was a quote from George Orwell's book Nineteen Eighty-Four
Addressing the fact that propaganda could make a society believe anything. Mainly referring to Stalin's rule. If the society around you defines truth, then who's to say 2+2 isn't 5?
