Rememeber how i tested to see if a Nydvia Geforce 2 MX/MX400 was better than my Intel Extreme Graphics Chip? Well, after i took it out, a big black border started apearing everytime I played a game. The border is fairly big and is taking up my precious gaming screen space. Any ideas on how to take it off? Yes, I checked the resoulutions in all thegames. They are all the same as before I tested the video card. Yes, i did unistall the program that came with it.
If you can help me out, id really apreciate it. I'm gonna go take screen shots to show the black border.

Update:ok, the black border does not pop up in screen shots. (i used print screen)
Its as if the screen size changes everytime I play a game.

Reinstall your video drivers.

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but configure your monitor (like horizontal position, size, etc.) Edit them with the buttons on your monitor (If it's a VGA connection.)

If you have the intel graphics thing-
Right click on desktop->Graphics Options->Panel Fit->Full screen (no border)

How? I sorta forgot....

The screen size is fine, it just gets smaller when a game is opened.

You would find the drivers on your motherboards driver CD.

Did you do what Doodle said?

I dont think i have my montherboards driver CD, ill check. It's probably still in the boxes from the move California/Argentina. (yes, theres still stuff in boxes) But i have seen them before so its probably in some open box.
There is no "panel fit" in the graphics properties, checked through all the properties, nothing related to my problem.

ADDITION:
Found it smile.gif

ADDITION:
Re-installed drivers, problem still present...

It sounds like you need to adjust the settings on your display, not the settings on your computer. As displays vary in how to configure them, I can't tell you exactly how to do it. However, it should have something to do with some knobs or buttons on the display.

Omg, i just told you guys that i did that alredy. Thats the first thing i adjust when i get a new computer/screen... It has nothing to do with the knobs and buttons on the screen because when I am not playing a game the screen size is perfectly fine.
Also, this problem was only present AFTER i tried the Nyvdia card on this PC.

ADDITION:
ok, i fixed it, seems the settings change when game is turned on. Changed the monitor settings during game.
