Voyager's Starcraft Field Command is probably the most widely played mod here at SEN. Because people have played it so much, they probably have a bunch of balence issues they'd like to raise.

Let me start this off:
The Sons of Korhal (SoK) are considered by most to be one of the worst factions. Their cargo ships are wonderful, but a SoK player is very unlikely to make it that far. Especially in the early game they have virtually no viable options for infantry. Mines are nice, but pretty easy to counter (after all scanner drones are a dime a dozen). SoK infantry should have more of a fighting chance. Perhaps increase the health? Or if you want to keep with the theme more make it so they can attack air, eliminating sensor drones and continuing their stealthiness.

ADDITION:
The confederacy is a bit over powered I think.

Especially the wraiths imho.

Well, Soks Just Suck those plasma tanks are rigged, but if they are weak at the beggining it's balanced to me! and don't even talk about confederacy voyager already took away from them too much!

I'm completely horrible at balancing mods. I wonder if there are any of those melee experts out there who would be interested in helping me balance...

Yes, but Plasma Tanks are not early game, and are expensive (385/300). They, like Dominion Goliaths, can take out all infantry easily, I say tone down the plasma tanks just a bit. But really, SoK and UED really suck.

Confederacy is quite overpowered. Between Wraiths, Tanks, and Heavy Marines, they can take out almost anything.

And although I'm no melee expert, I think I can balance a mod fairly well.

I'm good with UED, but it a good amount of situations I'm at a disadvantage.

Why not give the factions that aren't as good as the others something special to get them into the game. Like, a new and unique unit that comes early game.

There are a few other balance problems I've noticed, some of which tie into what we've already said:

-Roughrider Tanks are beasts. I had three of them and destroyed an entire army of Confederate Light Marines and Missile Troopers without any of the tanks' healths even getting below 50%.

-About the Dominion. Their initial troops are fine, but their vehicle yard costs less than the other factions' and so do their troops. Goliaths counter everything and are the least expensive vehicle unit in the game. Bombers aren't too bad due to their low health, but they need to cost a bit more. Goliaths need to cost a lot more, though...

SoK just needs stronger infantry to be balanced. And mines need more range and life. I can set them up on ramps and still have a 50% chance of them hitting because they either don't go off or get shot before they even move.

My favorite is actually SoK. I think I'm pretty good with them. Just gotta rush those cargo ships.

And weaken goliaths. That spread fire is insanely cheap. 3 gols > 25 infantry.
