Is there any way to edit orders.dat? I've been trying to figure out how to make wraiths use the interceptor's style of attack, but when I just change the attack orders to interceptor's attack, it blows up, because it's parent unit is missing.

I'm ganna say what I think.

If you notice a Carrier is the only unit with actual sub units which fly out and attack, i've never seen anyone modify it from that or make another unit capeable of that.

I was once told it's because that stuff is hardcoded into the game and you'd have to realy get your hands dirty to change it. As I once tried making a Carrier have a normal attack... didn't work. The only way I can think of doing that is to downgrade your SC and use MEMGRAFT in order to make it so the Carrier builds Wraiths.

And if you meen by there style of attack is that they fly to an enemy attack then come back then i'm sure that could be done with an Iscript or something :S

It was the orders I wanted. I probably could do the carrier thing in about 20 minutes. What I was trying to ask is if it's possible to edit the orders, as in what they do. I want my wraiths to do the flyee aroundee thingee without commiting suicide everytime I tell them to do it!

EDIT: and I have looked at the interceptor's iscript. Nothing special.

Its either the AI order its self or its hardcoded (thats about all I can say) I dont know how to edit either of those. And you can make carriers attack, I did that in one of my mods. You probably didnt do the iscript right or you missed something.

Hmm, I know it isn't iscript. It's most definately AI orders. Is there an editor of some some sort that can change that around?

I dont know, I dont think so. I think the only AI editors we have only edit the AI for game actions like building what when and stuff like that.
