Why is it impossible to do it? I don't see why... we are able to do things like 1x6 but we cannot do a 257x257 map...
Or maybe it's just because mini-map won't allow us to go furter then the 256x256? That ain't a prob... just use the mouse on the big screen!

It's an SC limit. Recode it and you'll be fine. Otherwise live with it.

And if you were to recode it, it would be a mod and youde only be able to play with those who have the same mod.

I've heard rumors that people have made bigger maps, but I doubt it. And by minimap problems, we mean minimap crash.

DoA could make an FG exe edit for that, then it would be available with SCMLoader. But that would only last so long.

Lol, you obviously dont know wat is possible on SC and wat is not. How would you just use a mouse on the big screen without actually being able to move using the minimap?

I've played find the pylon on a 1024x1024 map, it wasn't fun.

Really there isn't a whole lot that a map bigger then 256x256 would have. People just need to be more efficient.

Correct, even if there would be possible to play with a map bigger than 256x256 it wouldn't be that fun, since it's too big. People have a hard time filling up 256x256 maps nowadays.

Actaully that would be useful for me for my lord of the rings map!! Since it is rediculiously large ide probably not use the whole thing either

It would take forever to play, and you would be dead before someone could dl it. The only way it could be passed around would be via SEN.

More like the game has to have limits, and if you was able to do 1024 you'd complain you couldn't do 2048 and if you could do 2048 you'd complain you couldn't do 4096 etc....

People comlain about EUD's being disabled, EUD's were capable of loading viruses on computers via maps then you'd complain you got a virus from SC...

Swarms can't be detected because if it belonged to the player then we'd get a huge box on the minimap and you'd complain there is a box on the minimap...

You complain about the unit limit but complain when it lags...

You complain when you reach a string limit but complain when the map takes too long to download...

You guys basically complain about a lot of stuff, and Blizzard has tried to meet your needs but you guys just can't get enough. Hell, look at this example:

We used colours for force names and overlapping text, but complained when they patched it, the same people that also complain when people use hacks.

You can't win, they can't win, just settle for what you got :l

EUDs never uploaded viruses, but they can cause a computer to crash (contrary to the previous theory that the worst a map could do was just crash Starcraft itself).
