well in scmdraft 2 and guedit you can change terrain but you cant change to installation, so waht i did was i downloaded scmdraft 1 and changed it to installation, now the conversion isnt very good but its good for just changing tilesets, but if you open it up in scxe it crashes, so what i did was first i opened up the map i wanted converted in scmdraft 2 and made the whole terrain one type of tile, then i loaded it into scmdraft 1 and converted it, then i went back to scmdraft 2 and went over the terrain with one type of terrain but in the new tileset, and when i opened it up in scxe it worked!

I used to use SCMToolkit for switching tilesets, since it had every one available, but was a pain to get the program set up. The conversions were never really clear cut, and would almost always mess up. It mostly isn't worth it.

I have to agree. It isn't worth the hassle really.

the new sf should have a function "save locations and triggers" that way you can tottaly replant a map. also, a "save terrain" function woudl be useful too. i thought of this when utilizing the save unit settings fuction the other day

Ok. Let me drill it into your head that THERE WILL BE NO NEW STARFORGE.

For conversions i usually use guedit or scmtoolkit. :/
