There are four known copies/versions of The Scream (painted by Edvard Munch). I visited Norway when I was a little kid and saw one in person. Each copy is priceless. The one I saw was stolen a few years back by an extremist group trying to prove that security wasn't up to snuff, and they hit the nail on the head. You'd think they would have started guarding these paintings better.

They should of guarded there building much better. I think they should have a special force in the building for security. A person snapped a picture of the thieves stealing the painting and putting it in the trunk of the car. The car was censored.gif ty but the point was the thieves werent rich and organized, they were smart that the secruity was poor. The Scream is a favorite painting like by hollywood, movies like "The Scream", "Home Alone"; when the kid uses after shave, and claps his hand on his face.

Yeah, I agree. How could museum security just let those idiots walk out the door with one of the most famous and priceless paintings in the world? It's mind-boggling.

Let's just hope those paintings get returned in exactly the same shape they left in.

I think that this time it's actually thieves, and not harmless whistle-blowers. I doubt that the painting will surface for a long time.
