Ok, I was thinking of a new idea in SC. Choice based stories!

This is how it would work:

Players read text like:

*you woke up in bed*

Then after you get several beacons and text over those beacons that explains the choices to make.

For this example, I will say 2 choices:

1) Brush teeth

2) Comb hair

From there on out, it's more choices through a storyline. It can be horror stories where you can die, or action ones (which wire will you cut? Choice: blue, red, yellow)

Now before I move further, some things I think should be implemented.

ALL HUMAN PLAYERS SHOULD BE CLOAKED.

This way people don't always follow the correct path 100% of the time so the map would have lasting replayability.

THERE SHOULD BE CLOAKED COMPUTER UNITS SET ON JUNKYARD DOG IN THE CHOICE AREA.

This further mixes choices so newbies will have to take their time to get to an ending.

This could be interesting like somehow some players may meet up in different parts of the story and there could be teamwork choices and stuff... It's all up to imagination!

No offense but that sounds boring. A storyline with no action. If this Offends you then I'm terriable sorry.

Well, the idea has already been mentioned many times (alternate endings) but I guess this is taking it to a new level. Good luck with it.

I dont think you will have enough strings for something like that (would take alot to make it good). and constantly choosing would be boring. You would have to make a way which required no other units other then ur main character to choose (which would take alot of locations which u will also run out of fast). but if ur gonna do it you would learn alot

It wouldn't be as boring as watching a SC movie. After all, you make the decisions. You could have some choices send you to minigames. Other choices could kill you. It all depends on what you put into the map.

i actually made sumthign like this. sim dating

its 128x256


128x128 is a naughty picture.
The rest is picking wut to do (sleep,flirt,go on dates,get car,etc)
after u win the dates heart u get to see the naught picture

That idea would get boring after awhile but it would be different nontheless
making it fun for some
