I just whipped this map up in about 10 minutes. It allows you to attack buildings as a group. Your party is taken to a battlefield, and if you win you take over the building. Your "group" is a civilian and your party is in a blocked off location. I left it unprotected for anyone that wants to see (I didn't bother making good location names, so they're cc, battlefield1, etc.).

Maybe this will encourage someone to make an AoW map or something. You could make it so players can attack other player's command centers with a few extra triggers. I didn't spend much time on the terrain.

So basically when you "destroy" a building you get to take over the building...right?

When you beat the enemy's units stationed there, you take it over, yes. Bring your civilian to the beacon and your group (preplaced in bottom right corner, you can see how you can spawn additional units to the group) will fight the computer's group stationed there.

Do you want a cookie or something? This map isn't to show off my elite triggxzoring skills, it's so someone can learn or get an idea from it.

That's pretty cool how you had like some doodads and stuff ont the battlefield terrain to make the battle more tactical, at least that's what I got out of it. it would take up a lot of space on a map though, unless every battle field was the same.

Actually the trick would be having no doodads and a set, maybe square location with many locations set for different buildings to be set there, all differing in shape from each building to the next, and maybe a set pattern if you have different towns.

But buildings can be used too well in tactical starcraft warfare, they don't give you cover bonuses and stuff like that. But that's the best way to make the battlefields different and things each time you got there.

That could be well utilized if the terrain were made to look like a CC, I like the idea, good job.

You could make the buildings give you cover with clever use of triggers, using Rev's nice random extra or none extra damage, on a burrowed unit, you could have it being added to or worsened by where you are. Such as behind a "Burning" building would mean you might get a little bit extra damage, while behind a large structure means less likely to be hurt...
