So I finished this like last week, then the first update today. So far the very few people who've played it have liked it.
I'd just like to get some feedback from some people that actually know what they're talking about, at least compared to b.net.
Since most people didn't get what to do at first I'll explain here. P1 first chooses how long the game will last. Then each player is given there SCVs and command center game, the game starts similar to a melee game building stuff wise. You build marines then put them on the beacon on your base platform. THey're then warped to the top where you have 2 options. Either send em to the battlefield or to be traded for reinforcements at the right.
Bring your units to the "Hill" in the center of the battlefield for points, player with most points at end of game wins. Oh, and you get gas for kills.

Sounds REALLY similiar to CaptainWill's Marine Builders.
instead of saying "sounds like this" or "sounds original" why dont u at least "TRY" it and u will see its a good game i myself love it phatdiddy is a excellent map maker so before u start putting him down TRY his maps first

Actually just about every map on the internet is in some shape or another a copy of another one...so there really arnt any originals...excpet for like rpgs, and i just played his map and its original...never seen one like that.....phatdiddy congrats on a good map

K well thanx, and you get points by bringing the marines to the center. I'm gonna put like an instruction beacon or something in the next version just so people don't need to listen to me to understand it.
And it's only like Will's becuase we both got the idea over at Blizzforums from another person. At first it was just building the most marines then we added battling and stuff. We each made our own versions so it's obvoiusly gonna be similar.
Yes, he's telling the truth. We both liked the idea because it was so simple and yet had a lot of potential, so we decided to make our own takes on the basic premise: Build Marines, and see how they turned out.

Ok, I've had a look at it, and you obviously had more sophisticated editors to work with than I did - opting for a more functional square terrain approach that seems to work quite well, although I haven't played it in multiplayer yet.
I encountered one problem though: How do I get vespene? I want to see those specials which you took ages developing but I can't buy them.
Yea you get gas for kills. I decided that was better than mining it since it gave the person an actual purpose to fight.
BTW, if you read like the last line of my first post I tell how to get gas.
Ok well I still got work to do on this of course, and I suggest if you play it try to get full, if the people can understand what they're doing and actually try it can be fun.

EDIT: Uh oh, I just realised the map I submitted to SEN this morning had the bug that I fixed. I will update it if it gets accepted asap.
I just updated it again due to the lamer potential in King of the Hill mode. It now operates on a scoring points for holding the middle scheme. No more waiting until the last minute before storming the middle with about 40 marines that you've hoarded.

ooh, 1.7, last I had was 1.3, like the stuff you did with it. I still don't get exactly how you know what like special units you're getting it seems theres just the beacons with powerups saying Special Unit, no way to tell what it is though.
And I like how you had an instruction beacon type of thing, Im definetly adding one to my next update, many people are extremely confused at the beginning, it'd really help.
When the timer ends the player with the most points wins, and everyone else loses. The game ends for everyone there. To get reinforcements you must put your marines on the bottom of the 2 beacons on the platform they get sent to. If you actually played it you'd probably see how it works, when teh rines go on the bottom beacon they go over to another platform where you choose units like by going on the beacon. But they mostly cost gas too so you'll need to fight and kill other stuff first.
Nice map. Pretty original. There are maps like it out there.

Even though the first one made was pretty fun, iunno but i think this might be simalar to a blizzard map sorta, but iunno bout that, anyways i think this could be interesting
