BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!
Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there.

Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

· is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
· contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
· may cause severe burns.
· contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
· accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
· may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
· has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

· as an industrial solvent and coolant.
· in nuclear power plants.
· in the production of styrofoam.
· as a fire retardant.
· in many forms of cruel animal research.
· in the distribution of pesticides.
· as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.

Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

For those of you who know the clandestine nature behind DHMO, do not let them know how detrimental it can really be. Click here for source of this article.

Oh, God, this!
I hope that you're just making a really funny joke.
I'm interested in seeing how many, if anyone, realizes precisely what "Dihydrogen Monoxide" is and what banning it would do biggrin.gif
EDIT:
And this is just my favorite part
"Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. "

Wait...
almost every stream, lake, etc.?
I'm pretty damn sure it's in every stream, lake, and reservoir. tongue.gif

I been known of Dihydrogen Oxide but I think that unless the agencys find something else other than Dihydrogen Oxide then thats not a issue. Dihydrogen Oxide makes my coffee hot. Animal testing is banned, they use humans!

I don't really see how you could see that, not get it, and be slow. If you see names and automatically picture their symbol in your head, you should really put down the chem book.

What is a major component of rain in general?
What causes erosion to our landscapes?
What accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals?
What can damage electrical appliances?
What makes a good coolant?
What Do You Simply Use To Put Out A Fire?
Why do you think so many children specifically die from it?

I voted no.

Your post purely states EVERYTHING wrong about the product, no ways how good it can be.

This ain't an argumentation topic, it's solely to complain about a product YOU probably doesn't even know much about yourself. I kinda espected 2 sides to your initial post...

It's time to inform the public about DHMO.
QUOTE
The DHMO warning is a parody of exaggerated health alerts of the type we find circulating on the Internet every day, warnings that spread needless fear by taking advantage of scientific ignorance and consumer gullibility. It's actually quite instructive, if taken as a critical thinking exercise. By presenting a series of essentially true statements in a grossly misleading way, even something as harmless as water can be made to sound like a dire threat to human health and environmental safety.

Dihydrogen Monoxide, that is, two hydrogen atoms for every one oxygen atom, is H20 - it's water! Obviously abreviated DHMO for subtle purposes.

When your unedumacated and don't inquire enough - soliciters can easily manipulate the way you vote. So next time, when evaluating any claim, know what the claim is and who is making it. Espeically in an election where two parties will most likely make distorted truths about each other. Or when a discovery is made and one's personal's belief interferes with objectivity (also called bias).

This has been an entertaining thread, and I hope you all learned nothing and burn in Hell. Hey, don't worry, I was joking about the learning part.

Ya, only one thing shadow paladin, dihydrogen is another way of saying, 2 hydrogen atoms, monoxide means, one oxygen atom. what do you get when you mix 2 atoms of hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen?
