As some of you may know, I live in East Orlando, Florida. The eye of the hurricane is expected to go right under us, which would put the most powerful winds right in our path. This storm is said to be worse than Hurricane Andrew of 1992. This is a very serious storm and it's getting even stronger and stronger as we speak.
Right now, the storm winds are about 145+ mph and growing. That is a STRONG Category 4 and it has no intentions of getting weaker until it hits land. If it reaches 155+ mph it will become a Category 5 and it could mean ultimate destruction for most of the Central Florida area.
I also heard that it will be over Central Florida for 8 HOURS!!! That is going to be devastating to have to withstand 8 hours of hurricane force winds. My family and I are going to be going to a much safer area because we are in a low-line area. Just to get an idea of its size... The hurricane itself is 50,000 sq miles big... Florida is 67,000 sq miles big... So the storm will cover about 75% of Florida!!!
Please reply with some of your thoughts on this devastating storm.
Wasn't the last category five Andrew? And that devastated Florida to hell and back.
Hell back, yea, but as devestating.
They're saying Frances is pretty sure to reach lvl5 by the time it'll hit USA. I'm not sure about how powerful it hit the Bahamas, though...
Personally, I might sound suicidal (well... I am, to tell the truth

), but I'd swich place with you right now. Just so I can say I was in a powerful hurricane. Whatever, good luck to your house

i want god to make a hurricane coming to norway to

A hurricane in Norway would be devastating, they have no preparation the snow would be going to fast that it would blind you if you faced it and most houses would be destroyed by other objects.
it maybe snows 20 of 365 days and the hurricane cant come on winter here.... cuz it needs heat from the sea but the water is to cold to generate power for the hurricane
The condesation (typo) if the sea only makes relatively weak winds and rain. Two air currents makes the Hurricane what it is.
Then it reaches high levels with the mix of all these elements.
yes but the hoter the ocean is where the hurricane is goin the higher level the hurricane gets to
Of course it is... The hotter the general weather, the more rain you get. That's just nature. It just happened to be warm when Frances (which is a relatively normal hurricane) was comming in back again.
The eye wont prolly pass you.Thats what they said about charley it was goona pass right over us but it didt.O well mate dont worry its all good.Just make sure you got enough food for like 2 weeks cuz u never know.I wanna go outside during the hurricane if it passes lol.WEEEEEE **BOARD SLAMS INTO MY HEAD***
Also if u dont hear from me or killer. We prolly lost power so WE BETTER BE MISSED lol.
Surprisingly, we had a hurricane in England back in 1987 (or maybe '88).
We build our houses solidly though - no torn up trailer parks.

I lost power for 1 week on hurrican C and now this, and the real sad thing is i want school [ya scary aye?]
I'm gunna actually sound sane for this (I don't like to), but if I was you, I'd probably move out of Flordia for a while. And by a while, I mean the rest of your life.
Hehe, Frances already hit my island...
Tell me if you see any flying cows.
but seriously, I hope everything goes well... It would suck if the FF7 map... er I mean you died.

hehe...
i live in california, in the san juaquin valley, so the worst that could ever happen to us is a lot of rain. And that don't happen much. The only problem with living here is that its TOO F**KING HOT!
About Frances though, you should seriouly clear out fast. If frances doesn't destroy your house, the next hurricane might.....
I've never experienced hurricanes tornados or earthquakes that I could feel. Cause Canada is a good place to live in!

Good luck about the hurrican hope it wont hit you. Go somewhere else and hide!

My aunt lives in Florida. She is moving out though. After a Hurricane blew her house down, she became sick of Florida and is moving to New Jersey. I hope the make a new Southpark episode about a hurricane.
I dont mind hurrcianes there exctiing.Plus in florida we dont get earthquakes and only weak tornados.
