I think the section where you download the maps should be split between the original starcraft and the expansion, because i don't have the brood war but i always download the maps that i can't use and it gets really annoying!

Look at the file extension. If it is .scx, it is for broodwar
if it is .scm, then it is for sc original

ya... but still you have to look through them all, it'll be much easier if they were in separate sections.

I guess. Perhaps yoshi could allow member to search the map database for keyword. Then you could search for .scx or whatever.

Maybe a filiter, you can choose to only view SCMs or SCXs

ya, prices are continueing to drop. you can get the battle checst for about $10. that's really nice compaited to the 30 it costed when it first came out.

I guess i could buy broodwar since it's only 10 bucks, a couple of questions though, if i install the expansion would i still be able to play the original starcraft maps? and if i buy the expansion would i get a new cd key so i can go on battle.net? (cuz my friend burnt starcraft for me )

i baught my BW seperate with a Strategy guide both new for 10$ together

When you buy broodwar you have both disks. Use old disk to play SC and new one to play BW.

To play BW you will use the old SC cd-key since it dosen't come with one.

let me get this straight, if I buy broodwar I get the original starcraft also, if that's the case it'll be really cool, cuz I'm planning to buy diablo II and if I buy LoD does that mean I get the original diablo II also?

For you to be able to play the expansion you need to have the original installed.

Once you install the expansion, expansion will always be default, but when you select the game you want to play you can choose between original and expansion.
Whichever you choose you are going to put that cd in the drive.

In D2 you don't have to change cd's. You can play DII:Classic with LoD cd as opposed to starcraft.

What I meant was that when you buy an expansion of a particular game (ex. brood war, LoD) does the original cd come with the expansion pack or do you have to buy them separately

If you buy the battlechest they do some toghether. if not you need to buy them separately.
If you already have the original then you only need the expansion.

I'll add icons to the file list pages, hows that?
