150 year ago what most high-school girls wear to school today would be considered rashly inappropriate. yet now it is commonplace. Somewhere between wearing a full-length dress and being naked there has to be a reasonable line to draw. Where you you draw that line?
I draw the line at where it is now. I mean they're not naked, just scantily clad. personally, for myself I've got no problems with it, for society as a whole it probably is a little over board.
But you can't put laws on that or something, so it doesn't matter.
I'm not talking about laws, just your personal belief.
O, well then I think that it is a bit over board in general, I mean sometimes what these girls where is probably I guess I could say, inappropriate.
But just on a personal level, I don't find it a problem at all.

Neither do I. The problem is us; we're way too strict on anything related to nudity. I do believe, though, that it goes off as you age... If we consider the school aspect, here, it's literally forbidden (still in school) to wear a dress shorter than your knee's height... And all kind of other dressing laws that I do not know how to put in english words

It all goes on the girl's side anyway... No one cares if a guy gets his shirt off, basicaly, cuz it's not really considered nudity (with reason). Girls have much more restrictions, though... Bleh nvm... Dunno how to explain everything.
Meh it's fine for me. I always see girls like that thus I'm accustomed.
Plus I run Track & Field and girls there wear very little. Umm... I also wear very little there so I can't complain.
Anyways a mini-skirt and a short blouse(thats a shirt thing right?) is fine.
Although some girls do over do it with real short mini skirts with half the thong and butt crak showing and half the chest showing out. THose girls do corss the line.
Sorry if I was a little crude in the language I don't speak much english and my vocabulary is sort of limited.
I don't know about you guys, but the less clothes the ladies have, the better

scant clothes never appealed to me...oh yeah, and the hallelujah test. When my youth group goes on mission trips the girls have to be able to put there hands in there air and touch their toes without showing too much skin. Good theory, actually. lol...
The problem is that nudity is such a bad thing in our culture, that everyone has to do it. You know? With the public inappropriate exposure (or something like that) laws it actually puts more emphasis on nudity, which is very counter productive in my case.
Granted, I would never like to see everyone be naked...shiver
Like phatdiddy, I also draw the line at where it is right now. Those girls aren't COMPLETELY naked; they're just scantily clad, is all. I don't have a problem with that.
I endorse articles of clothing above the waist for females as optional.

I draw the line at where it is now like almost everybody else, but I'll explain a little better. Sex is something to be shared between two people that love and respect each other and it feels well... better, when you do so.
With females in America, their chothes suggest what is underneath and try to emphisize certion parts. That isn't wrong and while being suggestive, they don't (generally) show anything. Some clothes are overboard, yes. Flauting one's sexuality feels good, because you know that everyone is looking at you and you know that you look good.
Europe, as I've been told, is much worse. Nudity isn't really frowned upon in movies with minor's watching and video games and such have more in them. I think that the line is where it should be, and should stay there.

lol, i think we can all agree on that

I can't really imagine any where being worse than it is in the US, I don't mean in the moveis but just in like everyday life and what normal people wear.
When guys start exposing a lot of skin, that's where I draw my line

Note that time and society changes. For nearly two thousand years we relied on just our two feet, and animals, for transportation. And suddenly, within the last century or two, we've exploded into railroads, automobiles, airplanes, and space shuttles!
Also, the topic title seems inappropiate. Maybe youre just refering to how teenagers dress in this current generation? We dont see teens 'in the nude' around here, and rarely are they even close to that line; high schools usually have a dress code and they know how to enforce that themselves. What people wear outside of that is another story, and its all dependent of how they interact with other people.
I don't really give a damn.
What I do give a dman about is that clothes provide warmth and provide cushioning against impact.

lol, i think alot of guys think and say that, and i'm 1 of them
Question: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being fully clad and 10 being naked, where would you draw the line. I mean there are clothes that barely cover up the "private" spots which would be a 2 or 3. So where do you think the line should be?

"worse" is an opinion I think, its not worse its just that in Europe nudity isnt an issue like it is in the U.S. Thats why I liked it better whjen I lived over there, you couldnt get arrested for running down the sidewalk naked

. (not that I ever did that *wink wink*)
Personally I think people in the states are too... "Self aware", people make it an issue when it really isnt. But as far as school is concerned its just fine where it is, but its on a thin line afterall its school not a bar. lol
I would probably agree with Firekame on all of that... Anything that is law needs to be broke where it isn't enforced. Just take school/not-school example. I used to see in High School (since now I've been in college for 1 year

) girls getting "arrested" by teachers and security guys just cuz they were slightly breaking the line. When you see outside, they could barely care less of what they are wearing (not all girl's case though *coughfirekamecough*

).
They're literally trying to keep us as much away as they can from sexuality... Again, look at internet...
in cold countries such as Latvia, girls should weak something to cover their back n those 2x organs forgot word -.- girls do get sick stuff cuz of that

I don't know where you guys live but public nudity is against the law here...
Yes, but we are talking about what becomes innapropraite. Try readin the thread 3 or 4 times an you will get it.

That too..
maybe with global warming the summers will get hotter and the clothes skimpier

I personally like the European perspective. Like France, and some other countries.
I'm fine with nudity.. But if Gays start to entice me.. That's something I don't want..
