In a recent census, Denver, Colorado was ranked the drunkest city in America. I live in Denver, and I can believe this. The mayor of Denver owns 6 or 7 bars, theres a liquor store every couple blocks, and we have a man named Pete COORS running for U.S. senate right now. I'd say 60% of my extended family is an alcoholic or a recovering one. And in an age where alcohol commercials are run everyday, its hard not for people to become one. Do you think we should celebrate this title or its just a wake up call to do something about it?
It's a wakeup call. Why would you be proud of drunkeness?
Heh, imagine being the 'village' drunk if you lived in Denver. You'd have to be a pretty heavy drinker.
HELL YA! Colorado is teh r0x0rs!
...
I have trouble believing it though. Granted, we do have a lot of beer companies that started here
Where did you get this information from?
Id hardly celebrate that title. Maybe jokingly show some pride in it, but thats as far as itll go. On a somewhat related note, there was this one college that was listed as the number one party school. Theyre not jumping in joy; matter of factly, theyre trying to defend that theyre a school of academics, and that a few apples shouldnt reflect the whole tree. Or whatever analogy apples are to.
There's no pride in being the drunkest city. It just means that a lot of the people who live there are trying to forget their circumstances.
I don't know where he got his information from, but now that mobomojo mentioned it, I think colorado is where one of the big party colleges is...
all americans are drunk to me
Not all are drunks.... Only some. anyways we all have drunks everywhere
Quebec is probably comming in close second

We should celebrate that title. It'd make alot of opposition and News bulletins would have something to talk about. There.
...No way it's Denver. I bet it's only taking in consideration the population and not the percentage of the population in that city that's drunk.
My city... 27,000 people. Maybe some of you have heard of it. A little city called Superior, Wisconsin. Bars everywhere. Drunks everywhere. If any of you know history of life around Lake Superior, you probably should know that back in the 1920's - the 1980's, Douglas County, where Superior is in, and unfortonately where I live, has the most bars per capita.

I can't believe that. And I'm not trying to take pride in this at all. I'm just trying to say how much it sucks.

I'm really, really tired of American bashing.
And everyone else is tired of USA that thinks it's the bests of all nations

Don't take it out on us, we're just forced to live with a

ty government and President. It's the people in charge who've given us a bad image around the world.
Yea but it's not like people can't do anything... Pretty much any governments are corrupted in some ways (canada's financial scandal thingy, Bush's war acts, china's... somewhat wrong gov., etc...).
USA just happen to be really big and populated...
Denver is drunkest city eh, I think that the town i live in would rank close to last, there is 2 bars in the entire town and most of the population is eldery (not being mean to elderly just stating facts).
Wow, That really sucks for you right? Do your parents drink? If this is offending you then I'm sorry to offend you.
...Really, i dint know that! that still scares me though...
ok final thoughts, who thinks denver is the drunkest city in the world (wow such bad english in that sentence) i doubt it, cause i think vegas is, HELLO GAMBLING AND DRINKING ARE A COUPLE
Vegas can't be cuz it's already the "Most *something* city" ;P
Actually, Las Vegas is one of the drunkest cities in America.
Dude, it's a wakeup call. Being proud of being an alchoholic is like being proud of being fat. I don't mean fat like a little extra aroun the sides. I mean FAT, big and obese. People need to try to stop drinking. Not only does alchohol cause people to do dangerouse things, but it ruins the liver.

Militarily and economically....we are.
i do live in Canada(GO CANADA) but i used to live in colorado and i think denver rules, so don't be saying Denver is the drunkest city(even though it is) but denver is awesome.......

HEY! There's nothing wrong with the chinese government

what's worng with you!
Anyway, I don't think Denver is the drunkest city in the U.S. It should be Las Vegas where people get drunk and then get married all the time.
Even though I live in Austaralia, I used to live in Colorado, so I don't think Denver is the drunkest city in America.
