I came up with what I think is a great idea. When I get time i'm gonna start this book called "Human" basically it starts out with Neanderthals/ the neolithic period and from there examining almost every aspect of human life/civilization/culture/ ect..
I just dont know how i'm gonna set it up, like should it be a chronological timeline sort of thing. Or split into specific sections. I think im gonna go with the latter though because certain things might not fit into the chrono setup.
Of course Non-Fiction, I really dont see how it could be fiction since it really isnt a story.
i remember a while ago watching a thing about neanderthals on the discovery channel, but i thought that species died out and it was the cromagnum who survived
Don't see what you mean... You actually plan to publish a real book out there?
If so, you'll need creativity... Not just repeat what you saw/heard/learned...
I've been considering writing a book for a long time...
Helios, you should have no problem writing a book. Your grammar/spelling is good, and if you want to see how to write a non-fiction book that reads like a novel - try reading 'Mother Tongue,' by Bill Bryson.
It's going to be hard to get a book like that published without a degree in paleontology.
I highly doubt an 18 years old can write a book.
If you do then I reject my comment and I salute you.
Anyways yea I think you have to take classes at university to use proper writing methods and stuff.
Also that subject need lots of knowledge in paleontology and archeology. Not just lots of Discovery channel watching.
"I highly doubt an 18 years old can write a book." -- Its not like it would be finished this year or even 3 years from now people. Writing methods pshh you dont need college level writing techniques to write a book and have it published. (im in college too btw) Besides by the time its finished my "methods" will surely have improved.
Well then I'll be looking foward for a book made by you in 10 years

If you're a naturally good writer, then you'll have no problems actually writing a book.
If you're an unknown or 'unqualified' to write a book on the subject then you may have trouble getting your book published however.
dident a really young person write the hit book Eragon?
I support just about all non-fiction books (thats 80% what I read) But even many non fiction books are dull without personality and voice. Just remember that and I have nothing more to say.
The Eragon writer first writ it when he was 15, now he's 17. It's a great book, did you know Neandrathals couldn't choke?
They couldnt choke ? what did they have specially designed throats or something ?
No - the larynx was less developed in the Neanderthals, meaning that it couldn't block passage of food... or something. I think it's also something to do with the entryways for food and air - and how they're laid out.
Sounds interesting i guess
Good luck. It'll take more than just facts to write a book. You'll need creativity and a lot of time. In order for the book to be good, you'll need that certain thing that makes a book good. Don't get discouraged. My firend is writing a fantasy book. It's goung well. BTW, didn't Neanderthals die out?
