Alright, you guys can stop now. I wouldn't want their server to crash on us again (as it was doing all of last night).

Thanks to the many many people who came out from Staredit Network and also neighbouring communities who support us. I think we did enough for now.
Lesson? Don't bite the map making communities. They bite back.

Ah dang, no more fun. Well atleast he had the balls admit he stealing contents. if you copyrighted this stuff you could of maybe got him in 
or closed down his site for good. but ah well. Good job to all who took part in this stuff. Long Live SEN, Burn the other site.

I was happy to just not give any views on this, however i think it was wrong to steal the content, only if they put their names instead, else they are just holding data, and following the rules of StarEdit your in the wrong Mike.
However personally i would have just left it, why ruin his website, which may have taken him a while to make, get, pay for and all, for large bits of data...
I don't see you getting people to crash the Battle.Net, and similar things which contain members who steal from others.

I'm sorry coko, but this is no different from taking a map, unprotecting, and placing your own map on it. I don't think you understand, because you don't actually know what happens behind the scenes.
Every file, is checked by an administrator. Who takes the time to play the map a bit, fix description errors, fix title, make a screenshot and make sure the file isn't corrupted.
Now, they come along and say "Look! Staredit.net had a great idea and great files! Lets go copy them and steal some files too!".
Hundreds of hours of work has gone into making this downloads database the best on the internet. I don't need it to be mirrored. I don't need it to be copied. I don't need people to steal my orginality.
Its stealing credit for what you didn't do. JUST like unprotecting a map.

He doesn't even use a gig a month I bet. Hes signed up with a ty overseller, powweb.com. They crammed 2564 websites (stats off a whois profile) and as you can see they can't handle much traffic, there were frequent downtimes and slowness when the community went over there.
