Alright, heres what happened.
Our popular friend clokr_ creator of the godly program called "PROEdit", did a fabulous job on the protection. In fact, a little too well done.
PROEdit protected maps would NOT output minimap shots. Why? Because our program thought they were corrupted. So, we just decided to leave it.
Well, it came to the point where it was an actual problem. Theres a lot of files in our database, no one noticed this, but you could immediately tell what was protected with proedit. The files without the screenshots.
So, I found an old program (from the camsys days!) and I'm starting to use that. It totally ignores PROEdit and extracts the screenshots. So, make sure you email or PM clokr and tell him the nice 2 hours I put into updating the maps.
So, every map in our database has a screenshot picture (no more "screenshot unavailable"). Its guaranteed in there, or your money back (which is nothing because you're downloading for free anyway).
Everyones Add file permissions have been restored. Enjoy!

good job Yoshi you can give yourself a pat on the back, not that you couldnt before, and that old wow! i have no idea how old that is but I will take your word on it.

Was the screenshot/preview size-reduction limit deliberate? Previously, 192x192 images were able to be in full view without being auto-resized by the site.

Hmm while on the subject of the minimap screenshots, I actually submited one with MegaMan Bound (and it actually worked because I took it before I protected the map). Oddly enough, however, it said "No screenshot" next to MegaMan Bound when I went to view it. Maybe I just submitted it wrong or something?

This isn't quite the place to ask that, but have you tried re-protecting? PROEdit totally messed up my locations once and after protecting again it worked fine. That may be the case with you as well.

thats nice.. allot better with pictures. even if they are a bit more greyish than they could be,
however i have one request, on my map beacon defence (wich i didnt submit) inside the map mpq you can find a .gif file thats allot better to use than the crappy grey minimap picture
also while im already complaining on your fabulous work, on the sound (music) section DeVlinD submitted a stolen sound (as his own) from one of my maps that i really wouldnt like to share in the first place. called Spiritual low, please remove it
