i was thinking of making a map sorta built on the card style gaming system ( but yet again i have no free time to make it )
The battle map area consists of 20 2x2 squre tile map which will be 4x5
and other tiles for other options
Like this:
e=Effectcard [ ] = unit space
[e][You]

[cpu][e]
well the idea is straight foward. You have multiple cards in a deck varying from 45-60 card deck.
There will be Unit cards and Effect cards.
A unit card can is a basic unit used to attack the opponent's life. Units will varry from special abilities they can use.
A Unit with B= basic unit with simple stats
I= Uses a special ability once it is set into play
C= Constant abilities which stays until death of unit
U= The unit becomes disable during the turn but does a special move.
Each unit that comes into play will give the player a certain amount of Mana points. These are used to play effect cards or united attacks.
Effect cards are used up once they are played (1 per turn). This can be instant damage to the opponents life, kill your unit to kill 1 opponents unit, or whatever.
A defending unit stays in the back row and cannot attack. The very first unit you will place has to be in this row.
The middle row are used for attacking units. The attacking unit must attack anything infront of it before it attacks the person's life point.
After you defeat a person, you get a random card and/or money
You play tournaments to gain cash. You then use the cash to purchase Boosters, which give you 5 random cards.
Each card has a value to it and determines if it has a special skill or not.
S cards are very rare, and have
very good abilites
A cards are rare and have good abilites
B cards have some good abilities
C cards may have abilities
D cards will rarely have decent abilities
Turn method:
Draw card---->any abilities----> Placement of unit ---->Use of effect cards---->Attack---->use of effect card if none was used before---->any abilities----> end turn.
Using the dropship method to choose what turn you want to use.
Unit stats will be difficult but possible to do. It will have to be virtual HP.
So a marine that does 10 damage with 50 hp attacking a zealot that does 20 damage and has 200 hp, the end result will be a 10 damage marine with 30 hp left and a zealot with 190 hp.
Attacking system (brief) When attacking an opponent, if you have 2 units available and he has only 1, you can use an unitied attack. This means you combine the 2 units in 1 attack using mana. 2 Zealots doing 20 damage each attacking a marine with 30 hp will give you 10 damage left over. This damage will be delt to the player.
A blocking unit will however stop this damage.
This gets into a lot of details. I post more if anybody is interested though. The rules and guidelines
