It's been a long week since the start of the tournament. Now is the time to commence the next round.
Eliminated. . .Andy - You haven't even posted in the tourney opening thread... I could've started this round at least a few days earlier if you actually played your match.
Kow - Don't sign up for StarCraft tournaments when you can't play StarCraft.
My thanks to the other competitors: Jet_Blast[X], Yoshi_da_Sniper, Xeno(U), exobyte, BrainStormer, and @:@.
Anyway, I would like to remind you of some of the rules again...
_Times.
Each pair of players has
one week to complete their game. It can be done at any time so long as it meets the deadline.
It is the responsibility of the players to arrange their matches. This can be done through PMs, shoutbox, e-mail, Bnet, Map Night, or any other external programs. Should the set of games not be complete in the time allocated, the case will be examined and one or both entrants will be disqualified. The next round will begin immediately after the conclusion of one round, but not after the exact one week date arrives. Games played before a round begins will not be discounted (unless the other player is unable attend his match during the round).
_Game Reporting.
It is the winner's responsibility to report the results of a matchup. Replays must be sent to Mini Moose 2707 through PM, at minimoose2707 at nyc.rr.com, or somehow else gotten to him. (unless he observes the match)
If a replay is not submitted, the game is considered never to have occurred!! (unless the loser of the match agrees you won as well)
_Games.
Matches will be a
single 1 on 1 game, all to be played on
Lost Temple ONLY. Player's Race is to be determined directly before each match, and is not set. "Random" is an acceptable race and is allowed. Players can change races for each match if they so desire.
Observers are permitted in a match if agreed upon by the players. Should the observer be in the tournament and interfere with the match, they will be immediately removed from the tournament and/or the match discounted. The player creating each game has the right to ban anyone who enters besides his opponent before the game starts. A decisive victory need not be won. Should a player be using bad manner tactics such as floating around as Terran, sticking Pylons in the corner, they will be removed from the tournament.
Bad Manner will result in removal from the tournament. Viable strategies and tactics such as "Offensive Gas" (building on opponents geyser in early game), DT rushing, and "Manner Pylon" (building a pylon to block opponent's mining), etc, are not considered badmanner.
_Hacks/Bugs.
No hacks, spoofers, or other third party programs are allowed. Bugs and Glitches found inside the Brood War game are not to be used (ie, Drone Floating). Should a replay contain evidence pointing to players hacking or abusing bugs and found guilty, they will be immediately removed from the tournament without question. Hold position Lurkers and allied Mines are allowed.
And a quick reminder of the prizes to motivate the players...
