Aigth as some of you know my PC currently has some problems and it is about 90% fixed. By the prgress I had made fixing my computer I expected to fully fix it by Saturday and be able to finally play Sc.
My PC got fawked up when I changed my OS to one that my dad bought. The older one was one that a friend borrowed us. Both are Win XP Pro. After that I made some hardware upgrades and I installed the Win SP 2.

Thats where every problem possible started. We have been fixing the PC ever since.

Here's the point: I was here at SEN and IE explorer crashed on me againg, so I ctrl+alt+del and closed the application. I then opened IE and 1 pop-up appeared and my PC froze. Then I got this message that said: "Windows will Shut Down in 1 minute".
I went like WTF, don't tell me I got a virus. I waited and scanned my PC for viruses but it was clean. And my Anti-Virus gets a new update like every day so it can't be out-dated. Now I see that Windows Explorer(Not IE) crashed me 5 times in a row.

Does anyone know wtf just happened?

Welcome to Windows : )

Why don't you call up Mr. Billy Gates and ask him yourself what happened?

Well, you probably got that W32BlasterWorm everyone gets when they reconfigure their computers. What you do is when that time comes up, open up command promp and type, "shutdown -a" and then it will stop the shutdown, so you'll have time to go download the W32BlasterWorm Removal Patch from http://www.Microsoft.com/ and it will be fixed. This is what I remember that happened to me many times on my XP.

Sorry about the double post, my edit button doesn't work right now.

Not always... Often, it might just be caused by some file that censored.gifs up somewhere, cuz my PC does that kind of "close in 1 minute thing" when I stop playing Gunbound, and I know I don't have any viruses. It just says the program encountered an unawaited error and goes down.

Don't jump too fast to conclusions...

...But... ...But... I invented the Jump To Conclusions Mat! You can't tell me to not do that.

Anyways, to stop the countdown you can type "Shutdown -a" in command promp when it comes up and it should be fine.

I hope it's what you just said SP. When the Shutdown window was up it said something about a file called c:/windows/something else

I don't think it did much damage but I will still scan for that worm kahoona said.

Hmmm... Wait, it wasn't the thing where it said like, "You computer will shut down in 60 seconds" or something and it counted down to 0?

Or can you?

Ya know what?

SHUT UP!!!!

Holy crap. If you think Windows sucks, either get a different OS. And if you can't do that, shut up. More people use Windows than any other system. And if it sucked would that be happening? Nope.

If you can prove me wrong that Windows doesn't suck, then make your own OS and show me, or get something else.

Actually, as I said up there, Windows topped everything cuz there were basicaly no competition at all at that moment... Not like its perfect either, they don't even need to hire technicians, there are already 25,000 "technicians" in the world trying to fix Windows for Billy...

One more reason why Linux is free; crash competition. Mac came too late.

Seems like the crash was caused by some files that were malfunctioning.
I fixed it by deleting it and downloading a newer version.

Ya, WINBLOWS sucks a lot. If you want a more organized (better) computer system go find Linux.

Oh my god... windows pwnz all of you.
Windows is the best system to play games on. But, if you don't like it that much, throw away most of your games and programs, if not all, and switch to linux. I run Win XP Pro. If you have Win2k or XP, your computer shouldn't be crashing at all. I bet I have a current uptime of like 15+ days at the moment... possibly a lot more because I tend forget when I last had to reboot my computer. Usually the only reason I need to is because I installed program x or update y and it forces me to. And my computer isn't l33t or anything, my hardware is old as hell...

Windows did have competition I believe. Apple was on the market before windows was out. There was much on the market before windows came about.

The only thing wrong with windows, at the moment, is it's continuation of noobing things down for the stupid people. "The file you are deleting is a shortcut. This is not the application... blah blah blah".

Oh, and by the way:
WinXP >= Win2k > Win98 > Win95 > Win 3.1 > WinME
