You dont make colors, you just pick a number for player colors. Like 1 is red, 2 is blue, 3 is teal etc etc. With starforge you can pick from 8 more colors than normal, and after that you can go up to 255 but they are all black i think.

A unit without color defined would be pink. If you look at the individual unit sprite frames, you can see the pink areas. Those are replaced by the player's color.

In order to make a colorless color, you would have to crack Starcraft and change one of the colors. A mod could also make a colorless unit. The only colorless units are critters. To make a unit seem colorless, have a player own a unit whos color matches the unit. Like A white player owning a medis or a red player owning a Darl Archon. I think that's it.

Actually, there are a few "colorless" colors, but are only for some terrains. In space you can have stars on the units instead of a real color. Just try exparimenting with some things.

Actually Red = 0, and upwards, but anyhow getting onto further thoughts, you can access the pink style in the end, its just a highlighted version of Grey, in its plainest form...

Actually they're purple.

And I suppose you've extracted the .GRPs and converted them to .BMPs?

A transparent colored unit... That'd be just a unit with their color patches they have invisible on them. That'd be weird... Imagine a Science Facility with no dome on the top of it.
