Welcome to Staredit Network Post System v2. Theres going to be a few changes around here

This applies to ALL forums except for the ones with post count & mineral count already disabled.

• If your post is under 49 characters...

You will get 0 minerals. It is the only case where your post counter will not increase.

• If your post is 50-100 characters...

You will get 2 minerals.

• If your post is 101-500 characters...

You will get 4 minerals.

• If your post is 501-5000 characters...

You will get the regular 8 minerals.

• If your post is over 5001 characters...

You will get the 16 minerals!


By the way, using some BB codes will actually not be counted into this. Mass quoting or putting hundreds of triggers wont be counted

My hopes are that this will stop flooding and spamming and people will take more time into posts. If not, oh well.

Alright I've upped it again because its actually really easy to get 1000 characters (my post right up there is 1000 characters )

Well what can i say. Nicely done. again.

This idea might work, but then again I think most likely it won't. You see I can just continue rambling on with my message until I get the required amount of characters I want. Sure it may take me a bit longer to do, but if I add some useless text and keep checking my post length. Since I do not yet have over 1001 characters of text I think I'll continue typing this long essay. Sure, most noobs won't realize to just extend their messages out... But anyone can say the same exact thing over 100 times and say it differently each time. Hmm right about now I'm nearing the halfway mark of what I need to accomplish, so lets continue on shall we? Damn I can't wait to get my 16 minerals after I'm through with this long ass post, I'm beginning to get extremely bored. Sure, the noobs might just spam words to fill up space, but the clevers one will do what I'm doing each time just to achieve maximum amount of minerals. Hell, they might also resort to going to dictionary dot com and looking up bigger words for their 3rd grader words. And guess what? People will no longer use shorthand either, because that would mean less characters, and less characters = less minerals. So instead of typing "yo i r teh l33t" they will be like "Excuse me sir, but you see, I am the most elite of my kind" You see how that extends out? Holy crap! I just hit my goal, I guess I'll stop typing now...

lol... noooooo before every post i made got me 8 minerals no matter how little characters there were >_<

You post crap, me and the mods warn you and fine the crap out of your minerals. Simple enough?

Another Flaw.

Most people like other people to answer going right to the point. Now they will give 50 possible modifiers to the original point, meaning it's not the useless crap the Killer said so it can be abused.
Instead of lots of short useless posts we now get lots of long useless posts.

IE:
Original Question: How do I change player colors?
Longer Question to gain minerals: How do I change the player color to Blue/green?
Also How do I change them in SF and GuEdit?
How do I change it once I changed it?

Stuff like that...

wait is characters as in words or letters? cuz if its letters its pretty easy. words on the other hand is gonna be impossible.

As I said, it takes longer to abuse the system now, most spammers & flooders are lazy and wont bother.

Great Idea Yoshi! But now I have to find a new way to get minerals Meh, whatever, I only come here to give advice, try new maps, and get help. Its not like everyone needs minerals other than it makes your mineral amount go up and you can buy more stuff... Since you put a mineral post system up, can you lower the price of the items and things that you can get so that we have at least some change to get items, even though I'm under 100 minearls right now... Anyways, I think that this system is cool, and ya... that's about it!

One mroe evading trick that can be used. When using exclams or question marks, they can type !!! or !!!!! or ??? instaed of ! or ?.

You honestly think us moderators are going to let someone get away with something like:

I think he means 3 in a row like: !!! ??? or ?!?!?!?!
I think its a great idea and hopefully will eliminate spam of noobs soley on the purpose of getting minerals!

So does that mean, for the most part, triggers would be counted? Cuz I was thinking, you could anwser someone's help question with just triggers alone and it would kinda be lame if that anwser didn't deserve a few minerals. Ya know what I'm saying??? <-- three question marks!
