If anyone has ever played runescape you'll know exactly what I am talking about. I want to make runescape for Battle.net.net. You will start off as a civilian with 25 gold. It will allow you to either get an axe (firebat) Pickaxe (scv) Fishing net (infested kerrigan) or a few more things that you can buy early.

When you are playing you will gain experience and be able to purchase new weapons and level up. Once you are a high enough level you can attempt to duel someone. If you loose in the duel you will loose all of your experience and all of your items and you will start as a civilian once again.

Just as in the real runescape you can sell items and craft items, but I am not sure how i would do this, i am taking any suggestions. Suggestions go with the bank to.

I will make purchasing items possible by having a shopkeeper in each store and when you step on the beacon you control one civilian in the top left section of the store your at. Weather it be a general store, or a mining store, or any other store in runescape. Then you can purchase something when you have enough gold to buy it.

I would like input on this map, suggestions, and ideas to make it more like the real game if you have played it. If you haven't you should try it out (don't mind the graphics they suck). www.runescape.com I am open for all suggestions and i will take every one in mind. I would also like to know if you belive that people would play this map if i did a good job on making it.

RuneScape for StarCraft would be a souped-up version of an open RPG. I say go ahead...do it biggrin.gif

I've been working on it but i had to go to publix to get food with my mom so it aint that far, i only have the weapons shop completed (sprites and locations no trigs) but so far i think this shoudl be a nice map.

ADDITION: I'm a bit stuck at the moment, i cant figure out what to do for the armor store. In the game you can outfit your character with armors. (bronze, iron, mithril are the 3 types i am choosing to use) i dont know what to do to make it so that you can have these items.

I was thinking to add them to the defense, such as the attack and defense things at the bottom of the screen where you see how much damage you do. But people wouldn't be able to tell if you were wearing mith armor or bronze.

If you have any suggestions to this please either type them in this post or PM me.

sound sinteresting but i dont like the store idea. maby gain controll of a dropship with units inside, and when you drop 1 a unit called, Next... it changes to a shuttle for a bigger invetory. etc. maby that would work better. and another thing. why dont you let them keep they're exp, but not gold and items. hope this helps.

It sounds like a great idea. I haven't played Runescape, but it sounds cool. For upgadeable armor, you would have to make the units Protoss. When you buy armor, add a death count of an unused unit. Make the max sheilds of the units 3 Use the following triggers, and make them hyper:
Trigger
Players:
¤ Whatever Players
Conditions:
¤ 'Whatever player' brings at least 1 'Civillian' to location 'Bronze Armor'.
Actions:
¤ Set deaths. Set to 1 death of 'Independent Command Center'.
¤ Preserve Trigger


Trigger
Players:
¤ Whatevever players
Conditions:
¤ Whatever player has suffered exactly 0 death of 'Independent Command Center'.
Actions:
¤ Set Sheilds of all 'any unit' at anywhere to 0%.
¤ Preserve Trigger

That does help, but only for my potoss units. I think i am just going to rely on saying that if someone purchases full bronze armor it adds two to their defense and if someone purchases full iron armor it adds 5 and if someone purchases full mith it adds 12.

Sorry bout not being to clear on that, i was a little tight on time. okay ill explain this a litlle more. so basicaly, you enter the shop, (i have a cool layout for one if you want one) so you walk up to the counter, and the guy will say: "Hi, please brows." then you get centered at the dropship and it gets given to you. inside are some units,
Option 1
XXXX
XXXX
Or:
Option 2

|XX|

(X=Small unit, | = medium unit)
(i would recomend option 2)

so then the left unit would be exit, then the right one would be Next. then once you unload the Next, you go to maby a shuttle or overloard, then it will basically be the same layout, tthe left one would be pervious, the right one would be next, or exit. either way, you're choice. Then the next problem is that why to show a unit price, and there name esaily. you make a trigger to display this:
