I was playing Xeno(U) in a 1v1 match at Lost Temple. I had my hydras patrolling across from eachother. They got caught on eachother and then speed really fast upwards. Ill post the replay. Im blue and its at the entrance to my expansion base...
The same thing happened to me when I played Yoshi, only with two Zealots.
They speed up trying to get around eachother and inturn go on the same path, speeding up!
The Zealot one is known, and this is just another case of it happening. You can do it with Dropships as well, i think its possible with every unit, in different format. Likely it just runs through the Ai Movement script a lot faster.
How do you do it with air?

I will explain this. When a unit pushes another unit, it makes that unit move. While the Hydralisks move they are pushing each other at the same time. That causes them to move at 2x speed. This can be done with any unit that can move except buildings. This problem will be very hard for Blizzard to fix if not impossible.
I know HOW it works.. but it would be awesome if we could harnes that power!!!
Couldn't you just create units at certain locations and create a trigger that makes them patrol and run into each other...? Or did I read wrong?
You have to make them stacked I think, having burrowed units underneath unburrow is a good way to do that.
It would be cool if you could harness it, but what would you use it for?
Like a turbo in a race or somthin (idea if you can figure out how to harness)
Speaking of ideas ill think of a few (if anyone is bored)
1) Turbo
2) Sprinting
3) A way to use stimpact without damage unit
4) Stimpacts for other units
5) i cant think of anything else now if i do ill post if you want

I've had this happen to me with hydras and zerglins, even marines i think.. it usually happens when a unit rubs against another unit while trying to get by it and at first it slows down but then it speeds up, as if the game is making up for lost movement. For some reason it reminded me of when drone shadows would fly away from the actual drone.
I wondered if it's possible to cause the speedy thing with trigger but it seems impossible to harvest this power
But atleast we can slow units down.
How do you get the drone shadow to fly away from the drone? I'd like to see that happen.. could you do it and post a replay of it for me?
That happened when floating drones over invalid terrain, but that was patched and can't be done anymore.
This happened to me to with marines thouhg. THEY WERE not stimd. Same thing occured the ran into each other and when crazy. Anyways, about you saying the burrowed units. It won't work because they will just go and start walking over each other slowly.
