, the Battle of Five Armies is the battle at the end of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit. It included Elves, Men, Dwarves, Orcs and another. Eagles maybe, can't remember. WoA Felagund would know. I voted yes but I would like to know more about how you would handle the map. Would it be like LOTR style or would it just be a battlefield with lots of units?

i didnt read any of the books or saw any of the movies, on my To Do List. but i think ANOTHER LOTR game would be cool IN THEORY if its different from the others

I personally think there are way too many LOTR maps, and they arn't that fun. I think you should use the 5 armies as like a base point, and expand on it alot, and make it alot more better, and not LOTR. I voted yes.

I say if you can count on how many lord of the rings maps there are on 1 hand....or even 2....then you havent seen them all yet. I'm not going to vote since i dont know squat about hobbits and frotos and things.....but I say go for it. I got some cool LOTR wavs if you want them.

Most LOTR maps suck. Plus there are too many of them, making the games even more bland. I hate having to multitask. That's why I hate diplos, you get a bunch of units every 2 or 3 minutes, which means you have to control more than 12 units at a time, which I can't do very well, and the buildings take hours to build (or at least in LOTR maps they do).
I voted for no cuz LOTR maps suck, I doubt your map is gonna be different from most other LOTR maps.. no offense.

Well if your an LotR fan, they don't suck at all. Cause its a chance to play LotR in Starcraft lol. Personally I think the Lotr-style has nearly reached its peak. The last thingthat needs to be done is to have some sort of consistent storyline throughout the map, and then include soem RPG elements like i have in my unreleased map. Spell casting heroes for one.

Well said. You only like them if you like the story unless the maps is VERY crappy like rigged lotr map.
When you make your map, try to get some original stuff into it.

if you think about it, you can take a lotr map concept, change the names, change the terrain and some buildings and etc, and it can be starwars, red vs blue, halo, STARCRAFT, or pretty much anything that involves a big-ass war.
