When would this war take place?
2004-2010:
Powers: USA, Israel vs a United Middle-East.
2010-2050:
Powers: USA vs China and North Korea.
No idea beyond that. I'm assuming that the USA will go into decline in less than a century from now.

Africa would never unite in a million years. There are at least two tribes in each country that are constantly at each others' throats.
As for arab families having 10 children...Victorian families had 10 children. I know that you'll argue that contraception is better now, but I believe that Muslims are rather religious and follow the Koran's 'no contraception' rules. Some strict (read foolish) Christians also scorn contraception.

I think it would probably be USA, UK, and the UN against many countries that are a mess. North Korea, Iraq, etc.

To be honest, I don't think that the alliance between the USA and the UK will last much longer unless some moves at reconciliation are made by the American government. In this country we've been getting fed up with being dragged into America's wars for a while now.

Russia would start first, terrorist threats and such at China and U.S. Then China would step into the picture, thus getting U.S. involved because of our trade buisinesses. India would come in claiming to be a "holy war" or some sort and have massive numbers. This should then be enough to classify it as World War III.
World War III will probably be using nuclear weapons, so there would not be a winner all over the world, all countrys would lose.
Frankly, I think we as the human race are doomed for destruction, maybe not in our lifetime, but it will happen.
