I think That Videos games Rated "M" shouldn't be sold to kids and that They are harmless in a responsible persons hands, and by "responsible" I dont mean You got straight A's in school or you never forget anything I mean People that are mentally ill or people that Dream about how cool it'll be to shoot up there school, work, freinds, and everyday people.
Yes, it all depends on the mental state of the purchaser.
Although I don't think that videogames are a bad influence on people, I do think that they trap people in a little asocial bubble which is hard to break out of.
Computer games, like drugs, can be seriously addictive.

COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER
"trap people in a little asocial bubble" I agree but my friend meet his wife on everquest; But thats like 1 in 500 , all the rest are losers.
Video games are just entertainment, the same as TV and movies. If you want to ban violent video games, you might as well ban everything else that portrays violence.
I voted "no" but now I disagree with that. Most games are harmless to the mind, but there are a few that could give people bad influences. No offense to GTA fans, but GTA could give people bad influences. Many M rated shooters could also. Anything T and under is harmless, usually...

pfft the people that are influenced by video games are just morons or have a mental problem. I dont like the fact that those stupid people might get a game banned because they are too stupid to see that its fake
A game is nothing more than a game a way to escape your boreing ass reality but thats all they are they dont screw you up unless you are already screwd up

How can they be bad? I have played many violent games over the course of my life, and that doesn't mean I'm going to go out and kill someone, then blame on a game I played. Its just how each individual person can react to games, I can tell real life apart from a game, so I am not easily influenced by a game.
i was just as vioent as i am now as i was before i played games, so i think that video games have zero to little influence on kids/people. and parents who whine about it should shut up.
Games are far different from reality. The ones that understand that are not influenced(much). The ones who dont are Insane Killers
Video games arent a bad influence I have been playing M games since first grade nothing bad its only bad when you start putting cherry bomb in someones gastank.
Starcraft = R16 in my country.
I played it at 10
