Hello fellow StarEdit Network visitors,
Boy am I glad this site is back, and after seeing the effect it had on people who were a part of the site, I've made a vow to become a part of the site too.
I thought it was very welcoming to have it send a nice PM when I signed up, and I feel very at home since I see this message at the top of my 'post new thread' screen:
I've never actually seen the word 'kiwi' used anywhere apart from New Zealand, so thank you for making me feel like that word has been considered.
I wanted to also make a StarCraft.org news post about the whole story of StarEdit.net (free publicity!) but I'm not sure whether I should include that the mapping competition is still running? Could I have more information here please?
Finally, I wonder what sort of mapping knowledge I can learn from you guys when I'm here, so be sure to teach me lots. Warm learning environments are cool.
I'll see you around, make sure you visit often if you don't already, and make sure I visit often if you see me online.

Heh, oops, sorry I shouldn't've just gone out and asked the question about the competition without searching first. I now have concluded the competition is still running.

Hey bst. Glad you could join up. I think i was at blizzforums when you got banned. I dont exactly remember what happened but i heard that "BSTRhino got banned for reasons beyond his control".
The best way of becoming a great mapper is just to read what everyone posts and pick up experience from them. Of course the best way is stop talking about mapping and do it.

Whether the contest is still going, I doubt it'll be as much of a hit as it could've been. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'd be glad if I was. Bout damn time for some good news for a change.

Yeah. I played his "Counterstrike" map. Nice map btw. Plus he has his 1337 programming skills.
