If 'The Day After Tomorrow' comes...

I'll take you into some natural disasters or causes:

Global Warming: From the effect of greenhouse gases, it traps the heat that comes from the sun. Because of the sudden climate change, the compund rate is higher than expected. By 2020, part of India's low land areas will be under water due to icepoles mounting and increasing sea level.

Solar Dimming: A worldwide decline of 7% of light in the past 100 years. We won't need sunglasses in 50 years.

Earthquakes: Vladmir Keilis-Borok has been on a predicting earthquake project for 50 years. He is now 83 but recetly has been successful to predict major earthquakes in Northern Japan, setting of tsunamis and Central California, and Italy. He has been suspecting a large earthquake to come really soon starting with a 31000 sqaure kilometre shake in Southern California.

Tornadoes: Due to low and high pressure relationships, sometimes streaks of clouds will come down sucking up everything in its path. However there isn't any majors coming, the number of tornadoes repoted each year near the pacific and US has not died down.

Cyclone: Happens every year in my country. Due to heat rising, the cyclone border will slightly increase.

Volcanic Eruption: No major event, but many is likeli to be triggered in a shake.

Ice Age: Around 10,000 years ago the ice age ended, but it doesn't mean it's gone forever. For around the 17th Centuary in Europe, there is a mini ice age reducing the temperature by 5 degrees. This caused most lakes to freeze and many domestic animals to die.

Meteor Strike: Despite what many people have think, we do not have the money and experience to blow up a meteor. A meteor cloud may enter the atmosphere and we will die like the dinosaurs did. Every meteor is capable of doing about 1 Megaton which is the same as blowing up Hiroshima again with a Atomic Bomb.

With the technology as of right now, there is seriously no place to hide that you will survive. Even if you do survive few people will. You will be without everything, like all your stuff, and prolly most of your friends :\

Solar Dimming? That sounds like bull to me. 7% of the light? Are you INSANE? Where do you get these outrageously stupid facts? The sun still has billions of years left before it is going to go nova.

Uh, we've been watching Magnetic Storm in our physics class alot, so I think a Magnetic Reversal should be added to the day aftet tomorrow list. If that happens soon (hope not) alot more people will die from cancers, and many people will hurt...

Salacious, don't make me feel like an idiot, but I know what I am talking about and I proved you wrong. When had I said solar dimming was caused by a sun turning into a nova and gona blow up? It was caused pollution gases.

I have first read about Solar Dimming in the Time Magazine, and that is a very factual, scientific, medical, cultural, polictical magazine. However of course I can;t upload my magazine onto the computer, I have google searched an article for you.

Yeah, the sun is a big ball of fuel that is burning, obviously its shrinking like 2 miles a day. The sun is so big, it would take millions of years to make a difference.

Mr.Camo, most of the U.S. south of Georgia lol... living in New York State, that's pretty unsettling for me. And staying inside won't really help either lol...

If it ever does come...i would just kill my self since i already know i am going to die...Why wait for the sun to turn over and explode and burn me to death...or wait for a tornado to suck me up and throw me around like a ball...Just kill your self...Shot in the head will only last for a half of a second...when the sun burns you to death for a minute...or you can send a sign like to japan or sum ..

thats one of the few "billions of years" things i actually beleive...

red: the sun blows up, goes nova, and we all get fried to death and everything in ways we cant possibly imagine, there will be no trace of our planet, just the sun

blue: actually... maybe its just red... i got alot more red... red=fire! pyromaniac out on the loose!!!

more red: nuclear explosions, "Would you like that original, or... extra crispy?"

even more red: ozone layer depletes, we all get fried like chicken

might as well call it orange: we run out of supplies, earth becomes a desert, we still get fried again

blue: giant asteroid gets in way, starts orbiting earth and just happens to stay in the suns way, we all freeze!

red: we better learn to enjoy fire, or you wont exactly be a "happy camper"
orange: or garfeild kills us all
chicken: maybe they couldnt figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything

It is said that in less than 10,000 years earth will b inhabitable for humans. Meaning that by 12,000 A.D there will not b human life on this planet. We will have either died or found a way to survive on another planet.
