You probably don't know, but my school has been expierencing a streak of suicides. So what do you think about them?

i think the streaks of suicides could be caused by a cult converting people in ur school, is that wat u meant or like chill said?

it's funny you said that. Most people have this preconcieved notion that all suicide is committed because of depression, or because life gets too hard. wrong

What about apathy? I know someone very close to me who tried to commit suicide because she figured she had no more place in this world, to put it blunt. She felt she had said her piece, and now that it was over, she didn't need to be alive.

It wasn't because of the pressures of life.
It wasn't because she was made fun of or mistreated.
It wasn't because she didn't like being different.

She truly thought that she had done her bit, and that it was her time to go.
What is so wuss-like about that?

Theres nothing wrong with that. Ive actually considered doing it for that very reason.

If you're too much of a wuss to find a new purpose, then yes.

It's messed up overall. I mean don't think you don't have a place in the world. You can always try to do somthin new. I mean serisouly, you never finish your bit until you die... naturally. People love you, and people care about you. If you did commit suicide you would be failing them by killing yourself. It's pointless...

We all think differently. If you think suicide is a silly thing, that's good for you. All I can say is that I'd rather fufill some sort of purpose in life THEN die, as opposed to die without one. I have contemplated suicide many times, only to find I have more to discover in life. I am not directing this at a particular person.

u kno wat the funny thing about suicide is, they commit it when they think they cant do anything right, and if they fail to commit it, well thats just another thing they cant "do right" but wat is right? the "correct" way? whos to say wats correct? i mean whos telling me 2+2=4 i say it equals F11

Suicide in general is thought of mainly by teenagers who are worried about something or can't find their place in the world. I for one had those same thoughts because I didn't have a place in the world at all. Then I did, and things are much better now. I don't believe anyone never thought about suicide, but anyone who acts on these thoughts is completely irrational. I for one am INSANELY irrational and I didn't kill myself. It's unimaginable how ed up you have to be to give up so completely as to commit suicide. The average person has a MUCH higher level of tolerance than the people who do commit suicide. In general, life goes on no matter what, and honestly these people might as well kill themselves, we'll all be much better off that way. I hate how we breed inferiority by keeping all these people alive who would normally get themselves killed.

I agree with with Minimoose. Suicide is just fricken stupid. I mean, even if your life is ****, it'll get better. Theres no reason to. If you do it, your just a weiner, like, "OMG, I CAN'T WIN, IMA KILL MYSELF!!!1!one!11!" so, ....yeah.

EzDay I highly doubt you would commit suicide. You claim that you would if you had a really easy way of doing it, but if you were really serious about it you would have found a way to do it already. I don't know what your reasoning is, but it is no doubt flawed, no doubt temporary logic, and I have no doubts you will get over it.

I know someone here that is from my class at my school that mite spread stuff if i said somethin about my own personal experiences. However, I did do counselling before though. However I suppose I'm ok now.

sometimes its just because there is no hope... for example in Singapore, everything depends on your education..bad education = Bad life...so if you have no education, u get no ojb and u are totally fcked and u spend ur days Begging on the streets...and now Singapore has made a law that no beggars are allowed to beg so..yeah dsometimes there is just no hope...and they dont have enough money to go somewhere and start a new life

It's been said that suicide is the most selfish act a human can partake in. Virtually always, the one committing suicide is only thinking about themselves. People around you can be hugely affected by a suicide. Plus, I don't think the "I've done my part in the world" argument holds much ground. Knowing that you have done your part in the world requires you to know specifically what that part is, which no one really does.
