i recently switched to 1024x768
just a bigger view and such, but alot more slow n stuff
but with this new res i find SF being much more better and less laggy then it was before.
do you think its realy has to do with the resolution? o_O

I never experienced change of lag when i changed the SF resolution.

Maybe it's just able to put more stuff into one screen making it run less things in the background.

SF has never lagged for me (except when i had like 300 units stacked and it draws them all). But then again im running at 1152x864 so if your resolution thing is true then i have even less lol.

Resolution has an effect, in that more is "Drawn" onto the screen as your scroll, so it should create more issues for you, and slow it down. Its to do with how much RAM it uses from your computer, not the Resolution...

1024x768 is the optimum screen reolution. Leave it.

If you notice SC runs in 600x400 I think it is.

It changes the screen size for you then changes it back after the program closes.

bw - 640x480.
i meant the lag or w/e does the game performace depends on your desktop resolution?

It shouldn't effect your game performance, unless you exit it and have a large resolution running on a slow old computer. Starcraft has tiny silly resolution.

Of course a lot of my mates in the old community prefer the Beta (Windows Screen) Starcraft which is set to the size of your resolution.
