Now that some of the heat has died down from the elections and all, what are your feelings on these next 4 years ?
________
A lot of my thoughts lie with kerry's last remarks to bush... this country is too divided... something needs to be done..
Like look at the proximity of the past two elections.... compared to Bush vs. Dukakis... Clinton Vs. Bush... Clinton vs Dole....those were definitive victores... I'm concerened that the past two elections were not decided by the evening... it's like we are split totally in half... last time we were split in half we had a war with eachother...
One thing i'd like to definately change is this "addiction" to the war on terrorisim. This is not something that can directly be defeated and the sooner this administration realises it the better. You can only defend and prepare against it, even if/when Al Queada is completely hunted down (probaly never) terrosism will still exist.
One thing i'd like to point out about Kerry and the 'war on terrosisim', is that he couldnt possibly do a better job at something that Bush completely defined in the first place during the 4 weeks after 9/11. Another thing 'Change', even though its the same administration yet again I dont want to see the same

ty mistakes and blunders from the last 4 years.
This is kind of the point to "Why the hell did Bush win?" We're all posting our feelings there.
You realize that there are more people that are bush fans than kerry fans here!
ADDITION: Bush won because the majority of the country want him as our president... he won the popular and electoral vote!
And dont even start with the "He rigged it" bull

! He did no such thing. If anyone, it would be the far-left wing People who would rig it!

So? They can defend him in the other thread then.

Why the far-left? What proof at all do you have that could even act as some sort of suspicious evidence? I brought up Diebold, and I can also bring up the fact that every poll prior to the election (done by both liberals and conservatives) showed that both Ohio and Florida were pro-Kerry. So why is it that all that data changed in 24 hours?
In my country the elections are fraud.
The election were like 3,000 votes apprat. and now they found like 20,000 votes in the trash can.
We don't know who won because of the fraud now they will have to do a manual recount of them millions of votes.
I am so pissed off. People were more concerned wil men gay people than terrorism and the war in Iraq. I say we get rid of the electoral college. Who more people like is more important than the number of senators in a state. In the electoral college, your vote only counts if your state goes for the guy you voted for. New Jersey should make everyone a senator. Over 10,000 electoral votes muwahahaha, NJ would pwn all. Then every state would do that. Popular vote rocks. They said the electoral college prevents corruption in voting. No it doesn't. Instead of buying out people's votes, ballots are stolen, juries that vote on a close state are bough out, etc. There should be more parties. We have a choice of 3 major parties. If you vote for the 3rd party, your vote will most likely not count. There should be 4 or 5 major parties. Then, we wouldn't have to go for one or the other. More choices=less corruption.
im happy, id rather have a guy who makes up his mind and stays with his decision than one who changes his mind to make the people "happy" though it creates an inconsitancy in our country which will surely destroy it from divided people about what they think he said, im glad hes not president even though i live in massachusetts
My feelings on the election?
Both candidates sucked.
Everyone overreacts, regardless of who wins.
Pretty much a choice of whatevers less worse. I feel robbed and disappointed. Looking back at the election, it was mostly one of character, and not enough on what good they can do for the country.

Well he DID rig it once a long time ago because hos brother was some dude on a vote count thingy. Well I'm not sure if this is true but that is what my sister told me and she does not lie.
Replying to topic...I don't care that much because I am not american. Although apparently Kerry would have been a better president for us.
Wow conicience all the "dumber" states voted for Bush or that the dumber states just like to vote for bush? Nice site, Bush isin't stupid though he just needs major help (same thing

)
Anyways.... This is my 300th post! yay! Helios you had the honours.
You guys are morons if you believe that site. The statistics are true but why are they true? It's because it's based off of SAT scores. In the states where the SAT scores are high, only the rich go to school, and the poor don't. They live in poverty and vote for kerry because they want to live off the government. In the real states with low IQ scores, we make sure EVERYONE goes to school, even the dumbasses. If you took only the top 50% from each state, the IQs would be the same. The states with high IQs only get off by not even having the idiots taking the SATs at all.
I still can't believe that the Democrats managed to find a WORSE candidate than George Bush. Holy

, no brainer? How could you screw that one up. This was the easiest election ever and they STILL managed to find someone WORSE than Bush. Amazing.
Next year they need to put up a woman. And be against abortion. Then they'll win for sure.
I don't feel too harsh cux I'm not american...but I do agree that I'd wish Kerry would have wona...at least he is good looking.

Shows the what each state voted for and the average IQ of the state.

Good website!! Given to me by someone on the "Why the hell did bush win" forum

notice how only 19-ish states voted for kerry while the rest voted for PRESIDENT bush....because most of the country likes him better than a lying flip-flopping kerry
That one image of the world is a made up joke... You actually believe that? And people claim that people who vote for Bush are idiots.
Kerry is the ugly person ever known. What country do you come from? Ugly? Cause you sound like you do.

Notice how those 19-ish states happen to have larger populations. Los Angeles alone has a larger population than some states. Prove Kerry is a flip-flopper, and prove that his flip-flopping is a bad thing. Once you do, I'll give you a nice list of things Bush lied about as well and we'll see whose list is bigger, eh?
God and when can you people think for yourselves? Its like everytime someone talks about how they don't like Kerry, they say he is a flip-flopper and Bush is a good man. How is he a good man and how is Kerry a liar? Explain this stuff when you choose a side otherwise it just makes it seem like you have no idea what you're talking about. All these little republican catch-phrases like "flip-flop" mean

to anyone who really knows what they are talking about.

ugliest Sal, well devlin, at least PRESIDENT George W. Bush's state didn't have tha many cities that hated him, i lived in massachusetts for a while and both cities i've lived in, hated kerry, how many cities in Texas can you say hated the presidential candidate who was born in that state?
DevliN you do realize he still won the popular vote?
Kerry was a terrible candidate. He was actually WORSE than Bush. I wouldn't have thought that was possible.
Yeah I know he did, I'm just saying that a lot of those 19 states have a larger population than the rest. And 20 states would have won it for Kerry despite the 30 Bush won. Thus, the electoral system is screwed up.

Read the Constitution bud, we follow it, so we aint changin the electoral college
The electoral system is their to prevent fraud. You should be glad it's there, with you being avid Democrat, at least for this past election. The states most likely to cheat are the ones with a bunch of gun toting maniacs. The ones that vote republican.
Even though I don't like politics...hem hem...
Yeah Sala, I know - but then again the popular vote is (theoretically) what decides the electoral votes. So really if you can cheat in the popular vote, you own the electoral vote.
Bill Mahar (sp?) made a good point that with 130,000 more votes in Ohio, Kerry would have won the election despite Bush getting a 3,000,000+ lead in the popular vote. So you do have to admit that it is pretty messed up.
Have you guys seen the reports that in Ohio, one county had 3,700+ people vote for Bush when only about 600 of the people in that district were registered voters? Crazy stuff...
