Sorry I've been sitting on this for so long. This will probably be the last release of this program before I start work on recoding it (if I do). Unless, of course, there are some critical bugs that are easy to fix.

Feedback, suggestions, and bug reports should be sent to starforge_feedback@hotmail.com or via AIM to StarforgeFB.

I'll be sure to use this; what files are hiddenly placed by Starforge that will need to be removed as well as the main folder? Any Reg?

Oh my god this is GREAT! Kudos, man... great job!

edit:

It would be nice if you fixed that thing how you can't move triggers up or down. I really don't use sf to do triggers anyway, but yeah. It's just one of those things smile.gif

Wow, how many undos does it save?

Edit - And how does it autosave and stuff? I want some specs on this autosave feature smile.gif

StarForge 2.x
More coming soon tongue.gif.

This is amazing...this is the version that'll make a huge switch from SCMD2 to SF.
Great job Heim.

yahoo! thanks heim! biggrin.gif ... this is my idea (although deathknight posted it) is it would be cool if someone could edit a map, go into starcraft and, if there is a bug in the map, find exactly where the bug is by saving the map as a .chk with something such as an extra comment of where the bug is.

Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.ZeALoT.oO on 2004-11-05 at 20:27:53
What would happen if i downloaded that without removing other versions of starforge, because i think ive already done that and my starforge doesnt open anyore, when i go to open it, it says "invalid picture"
But i get that error with Stealth Bot too, so I think my computer is just a dumbass

Excellent program. Now, how do I turn off autosave? When I made a new map, it was like "Do you want to set players as inactive" over and over.

OMG Nice. Theres an undo thing too. although slow way better than the other one. and i havnt found a bug that i had with thte previous version. Nice JOB! you rock!
BTW:the load trigger save trigger doesnt work.
any P18 color and above shows as black. and it keeps asking me this thing
"one or more players are set as active but do not have start locations. This may cause problems In starcraft, would you like starforge to set them as inactive?"

Heimdal, great to see you. I thought you had given up on it, cast it away for the pits of hell to slowly singe it to death, but you've given me light, pulling away SF from the echoing calls, wailing, and torment.

Anywho, it's awsome, better than your previous version.

How's Microsoft?

There is still some evident bugs within it, i'll keep with my SCMDraft 2 + Add-On Triggers.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kenoli on 2004-11-06 at 12:05:51
There must be a way to turn the autosave off! When you start a new map it constantly asks to set players to inactive... and I dont like autosave anyway.

Good work! Except for the autosave.
I love Starforge! biggrin.gif ^_^ <3 etc.

*the about menu still says 2.0.0

I'm unable to locate the part which allows you to turn if off, so for now just place a start location for all players your use in the map, and just click yes for the rest.

How old are you?

Why would you care about such a thing?

Does your friend care?

If so... Why? Is he racist?

hmmmm

//Back on topic
Why does it keep saying "cannot open process whatever.scx.bak" or w/e that is. It's annoying as hell, because it pops up like every minute.

One this I never liked about starforge is how it dealt with unit names. It's been awhile since I opened starforge, but when placing units, you have to go by all the default names, I believe. SCXE didn't have this problem(?).
If you made a trigger and didn't select any players, your trigger would disappear.
Iso terrain is crappy.
And as previously stated, load/save triggers.

Perhaps a toggle feature in the trigger editor that allows you to see only custom named units in the little list thing.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by ShadowBrood on 2004-11-07 at 14:41:29
Ok Heimedal here's a list of things that probably should be fixed or modified:
-Turn autosave on/off
-Better Iso terrain tongue.gif
-No more annoying set players as inactive thing make SF do it automatically like SCXE
-Fix triggering system on older OS like Windows 2k Pro. It deletes the trigger whenever I create it.
-Make custom unit names appear in the unit placement box
-Keep doing a great job on SF

That's all I hope you take this into consideration.

This is great, but are there any secretly hidden files on the computer from the previously downloaded starforge?
