SC2...will it ever come out in the first place?

my hopes for it:
unit names for same unit can differ for each player
a new race
more allowed triggers/locations/units in game and editor
units have more than one attack (ex: hydras can use their blades or a firebat can spin in a flaming circle or goons self destruct "For Aiur!")
new units
more upgrades (not only 3 default levels for attack)
more heroes
more realistic (air units fall and crash when destroyed, vehicles and bats explode and hurt units around it)
2 or more workers can work on the same building to make it build faster
something happens to building when a unit is ready (unit walks out of a barracks or walks through a portal from a warpgate)
toss can repair units and buildings (even if it costs $ for units)
buildings collapse killing close units (look out DTs!)

what about you?

sweet, i would make uber amouts of units with the custom units, broken vehicles, like when a part of a tank goes red on wireframe, it doesnt work, like 1 of dragoon's leg is red, it can on only use 3 legs, biological units walk slower when damaged

You can emulate the units walking slower from hp%. cool1.gif

But Blizzard is taking their time making sc2, and that's IF they're making it.

i know, we should use the Starcraft Liscence and create our own Starcraft 2, we will get millions, because blizzard isn't making it anytime soon, they are making starcraft: ghost, SEN could do this, we can make starcraft 2

This should be in General Gaming. And there shouldn't be any new races, the game is perfect as it is now.

-custom units in map (limited for keep maps heavy (like 5 customs units))
-custom doodads (same)
-custom tiles (same)
-more stuff with triggers : some variables, possiblilty of some simple maths functions with thoses variables, if they are a number....
-keep units limits
-set up A BIT the number of possible amout selected units (18-24?)
-can switch resolution
-bigger maps (1024x1024)
-OPTION that people can join during the game (on bnet) (you choose this option when u host the game)
-more players in map (12-16)

Be able to write your own Ai scripts and have them work on B.net.
Have nuke splash damage be realistic.[/scsm] That would ka though, 1 nuke would kill everything
Pick up units and throw them biggrin.gif
Drown units by walking in water or pucjing them in
Land buildings in water and have them sink biggrin.gif (just for the heck of it)
Since vultures are hovercraft, have them able to go over moderately rough terrain
Infest units directly, or infest toss units
Corpses

have attacks relaistic. If someone stands infront of a firing marine, they should be shot instead

That not definetly not.
If you have lings attacking 3 rows of rines then the rines will kill themselves first and the lings won't have anything to kill.
This we definetly don't want.

what i said about the mod, I never said it had to be b.net compatible.

i wouldnt like the friendly fire ability, i mean aren't they smart enough to hit the thing that DOESN'T look like your race? a pretty bad idea if you ask me....

-When your ally kills multiple units of yours within a small time frame, you can set it to auto-unally (like a delayed Ally Hack, to not destroy the advantage of backstabbing but decrease the damage)

-Custom backgrounds and colors in game lobby and mission briefing

-Ability to disable mission briefing

-"Forces" can be set as whatever you want, without actually affecting things in the game. Instead, the players would be divided into "Groups" (Invisible Forces controlled during the game). These "Groups" could also be shifted by triggers.

-ABILITY TO CHANGE ARMOR UPGRADE BONUS angry.gif

-Built-in "Special Effects" (also can be changed by triggers)

-Hosting a game allows you to set a connection ping restriction smile.gif

Basically, the ability to modify Starcraft itself to make your own mini-game. (These abilities, such as changing the HUD and Starcraft itself, would change the map to a "Customized Game" type. This type is another type aside from UMS, because the maps would get big enough that some people would not want to download them).

It would be in Blizzard's best interests to allow a maximum amount of customization in maps created by people like us. If it wasn't for people like us who push Starcraft maps to the breaking point, gamers would have gotten bored of playing "Wakka Wakka" a long time ago.

How do you detect unit HP?
And you'd need a lot of triggers if you're going to track every Dragoon, Tank, Goliath, etc, that some guy might decide to mass tongue.gif

Message Enabled Triggers
Conditions: "Player Brings Unit With Properties(X% HP, X% Shield, Un/Cloaked, etc) to Location 'X''"... then you could have it warn players when their units are near dead! biggrin.gif

Units should be able to level up for killing more units.

Like a zergling 35 Hp and 5 Dmg after killing 5 men could become 45 HP and 6 Dmg. This option culd be disabled in editors for Use Map Setting Purposes. biggrin.gif

I think there shuld also be more intelligent AI.

A really kewl game I'm looking towards is 'Battle For Middle-Earth' it's 3D, and everything is so real. The graphics are extremely good and what I like the most is the AI. In all RTS like Age of Empires or Starcraft.... units just attack no matter if their health is low or high, no matter if they are alone or in a group, or whether the enemy is a lot stronger. In Battle for middle earth, a group of rohan soldiers will back off and form a formation against a troll. The troll can grab trees from the side and bash the troops into the air and the troops go screaming out loud. ^==^

SEN probly cant, I mean we will need all the original voice actors from Starcraft, alot of programmers, modellers, music composers and we will need alot of money for server hosting, tools, etc and we would need to spend probly 1-2 years almost non-stop working, millions? if blizzard does'nt sue.

If Starcraft 2 is made then dont count on extremely good graphics because fast computers will probly be able to just play it and be hell for slower if that happens.

Same as what I said above could be done with a major patch.

If Starcraft 2 is ever made or being worked on it wont be for a long time, heres a reason probly why there is'nt a SC2 yet: Storyline, have a look at Warcraft, was the Story designed to end in one game? Now take a look at Starcraft was the Story designed to end in a single game and expansion?
Starcraft: Ghost is either a diffrent short Story or a small Add-on to the ending.

This has to be my longest post yet blink.gif and yes this should really be in General Gaming.

don't get me started...Since i have nothing better to do, I've decided to make a Starcraft Mod. Since I also can't think of a good mod to make, I'll make an SC2 mod that continues the SC story unofficially. So...What do you think?

A SC2 mod would be worthless unless professionally done and just a few slight diffrences nothing added since through mods you cannot create any units/alter anything hardcoded/anything from the engine ect so you would be extremely limited plus wont be 3D tongue.gif.
And you would still really need some graphics artists if you want any graphics, composers if new music, and so on, not to be harsh or anything.
