In my bound
[Case Closed Bound] the blood of all units disappears after about 20-30 seconds after the game starts. From then on all blood vanishes in under 1 sec. How did I do this!?
we cannot find out, because you PRO-TEC-TED IT, that means we cannot open it and look at the triggers to find out how you did this, try and remember back to what you did, or post an unprotected version so we can find out
How much blood do you have in there?
Perhaps a sprite limit was found and Starcraft couldn't load up any more sprites?
Blood when units die. Uncludes your own and exploding trigger deaths.
And I dont think its possible for a trigger to do this...I didnt do it on purpose thats for sure. but its still cool
Red-X I was the one who approved your map in the DLDB and I saw no such thing.
There are quite some sprites in that map so that has to be it.

Sprites are a layer in your map that controls all the graphics. Marine pictures, unit attacks, building shadows, psi field, and recall graphics, blood. Everything! Blood is a sprite, perhaps you met the sprite limit and so Starcraft had to delete them fast to preserve space
A neat concept. If it turns out that is the reason it does that, perhaps it would be possible to make it so units attackk without looking like it or something. W/e. Try copying your back-up copy and taking out a lot of sprites, and see if it still does it.

It doesnt happen right away. the first time I even it noticed I was at least 6 levels into testing my map. But after that I began to notice it around level 2, or if I waited long enough before starting, level one.

lol Ya that would be funny. Ill load a map with sprites to test that one. Or even if a marine has the fire coming from his gun but no bullets are hitting a target. The Mines just disappear when they hit a target, no explotion, no nuke, lol....
Another one of those funny topics, Of course it dissappears. Unit deaths, bullets and decaying items like that won't just stay around even if you placed it as a sprite. It acts the same way as it would in the game.
The blood dosent decay at the normal rate, it dissapears as soon as the zergling dies.
The giant mass of trees might have something to do with it...
It is hitting the sprite limit. THere is a blod sprite on the ground and then the trigger says create a Zergling so it gets rid of unimportant blood and makes ling. There was discussion on the a while ago.
If you place a player 9+ unit then "SOMETIMES" it causes thing to move mroe quickly..like in a friends map called something...he placed player 12 units on a sunken and when you attack with it...it attack 10 times faster

Placing P12 units has no affect whatsoever on game or attack speed. Lie on you little turd.
