Alright, yes, it's possible, but not by subtracting from 0.
While hex editing my editor, I have found a way to get minerals in the negative, you can subtract, add, and it will do it properly. It won't allow you to build because you have not acquired the proper ammount. Mining will add it properly too.
My editor will be able to set certain values to a higher number than the original editor, and even negative values, for the following:
Action: Set resources[tested]
Action: Leader Board(Greed)
Action: Leader Board(Control at location)
Action: Leader Board(Control)
Action: Leader Board Goal(Kills)
Action: Leader Board Goal(Points)
Action: Leader Board Goal(Resources)
Action: Set Countdown Timer
Action: Set Deaths
Action: Set Score
Action: Talking Portrait
Action: Transmission
Action: Wait
Condition: Accumulate
Condition: Bring
Condition: Command
Condition: Countdown Timer
Condition: Deaths
Condition: Elapsed Time
Condition: Kill
Condition: Opponents
Condition: Score
Briefing: Display Speaking Portrait
Briefing: Text Message
Briefing: Transmission
Briefing: Wait
It will also be able to set the mineral ammount to its proper max(65535).
Here is the map showing the negative minerals:
wow... I never really thought it would go into negitives. 0 or invisible is all I thought of. Then again I guessed that if it got high enough it would have gone into negitives which is why I thought it turned invisible to begin with.
It turns invisible because it can't fit into the "box" that shows the user his/her stats. It does infact turn negative when it gets high enough though. I think the "box" that holds the minerals/gas/supply can only display seven(7) digits.
Geeze.....I never thought it could get into the negatives...and I never thought something new would come up.
It's a neat trick Death but... why?
Laurent14 did this a while ago in some map. I forget weathor or not if i was allowed to show it to people.
staredit before 104 or 103 could set to 65535 as well, they just disabled that, I think it was possible to bug something with that, I dont remember exactly why
What practicality does this hold?
If it will be a LOT like xtra or based on the origninal sc campaign editor, could the hot keys in the trigger box be fixed and updated, so every button has it's own correct hot key? (For example, a hot key when replying to a topic on SEN would be "alt" + "q". This will make a quote.)
Also, maybe making the option of viewing a trigger the way SF 2.2 does and sc xtra does might be a very useful option.
That would take a long time, and who cares about user-friendly keys. Just get a program out that people can use with speed.
Wow thats cool gj on figuring that out i never even thought about it, not much I could use it for tho.

I do. You see, I can use a 3 hot keys faster than I can use the mouse. (The hot key is mighter than the mouse!
)
If you're asking if it's possible to change hotkeys then the answer is yes. My editor is a "better" form of scxe, modded from the original Staredit.exe. I've also changed some triggers like Set Doodad State to support "Any unit", "Men", etc.
Does any unit and men and stuff for disabling really work in SC? I hope it does. Can you make it so you can set a number to disable as well... if you can?
The negative minerals stuff is wild. Is it possible to have the map opened in X-tra or SF and have the triggers not be changed?
edit: Yes you can, I'll see if it will stay the same in SF later.
This is interesting. It seems you can subtract from it if it is already in the negatives, but it doesn't work once you're in the positives again?
What about this: Letting a user change the way he views his triggers. If he/she clicked on something, for example, he/she would see the triggers the way sf does, and if he/she clicks somewhere else, he/she will see the triggers the way xtra does. Or, is this too much work, (if it's not impossible)?
Why not just, omg?, use StarForge to view them and then X-Tra Editor! Amazing. I doubt DK has the skills to do what your asking.
What the
? Forget the skills buddy because they can't exist. :/
I hate to say this but SA_Max71, you remind me of InSaNeMaPpEr a bit...
What happens when you use negative waits? I cant see how you can wait negative -100 milliseconds.
Not sure exactly. I tried it in the briefing and it didn't exactly do much, but in the triggers, -3 never executed.

I am just asking if this will and/or can be done. As far as I know of, insane mapper never did this.
Don't worry, just don't try and ask for such things.
Maybe it would reverse the gameplay?
Nah

Likely you can just change it to negative, not actually do anything with it...

what is so wrong about asking for "such things"?[CK Edit; Topic moved and please just leave it.]
