Kow recently found a terribly abusive way to get TONS of minerals without doing anything. More importantly he isn't really a map maker, and the stuff he does post is anyway. Here is a link to his recent posts:

Since he doesn't belong here, posts crap, and uses his posts to abuse glitches in SEN I think I might ban him.

SaLaCiouS do whatever you feel is necessary I don't know Kow too well and I can't really judge him.

Dont ban him, maybe suspend him for a few days and take all his minerals away, that seems fair to me

Give him a chance because he has been with us for a while and we know he's not a really bad person, but abusing a system is still a bad thing... Take away only the minerals that he forged...

I don't know about that. So what if kow started posting spam like crap. At least kow is just helping other idiots who don't know it. The very least its not spam, but its like spam but not with the random words and random other crap. Its just alot of posts, and its like 52 pages of posts.... odd....

I do make maps, so that part of the statement is false.

A suspension is reasonable, even a few DAYS is a little too easy on me, perhaps a week or so. But a ban is kind of harsh.

Maybe not even a suspension. If he has been abusing the minerals, obviously he has been using them for something. Just delete whatever he has been using them for and remove all of the mins on his account. Its not like minerals do anything else.

No, don't take all his minerals away. He has spammed more, and has used up the minerals, so there are barely any to take away. When I finish finding out when he started this, you can fine him for every edited post up to this date.

I still say Suspend him and take ALL (including any he has in DTBKs Bank) his minerals, even the ones he had before he started to forge, just to teach him a lesson

Anyways, he has been spamming somewhat a lot lately. i saw the last 2 pages of his posts and found that very few posts actually make a good comment or answer a question.

I say SaLa you should not ban him and you should not be able to ban people.
Leave the banning to the Staff and Administration, I still say that they should be the only ones who whould be able to ban/suspend someone from SEN. Mods should only be able to ban/suspend on their forum and Map Team from Map Reviews and DLDB, Global Mods should be able to ban from all forums but not DLDB.
Banning should be done based on what was done, if it was a big enough felony then he should be banned alltoghether.

I say give him a temporary suspension from posting in the forums.

I agree with DK take his mins and all the mins and posts he has done since he found the glitch also erase all his posts.

No, don't erase his posts, just fine him, he will be in the negatives for sure. He started doing this around Dec. 4th, 2004.

I wouldn't ban him Salacious. Just humiliate him, rob him of anything of value... hell - put his post count @ zero. Yes, that's right... put his post count at zero (if you can). He'll have to start from being a grunt again. But banning? That's pretty harsh, and he hasn't really harmed this community in any way.

The only people able to put posts counts @ zero would be Moose and IP.
I've always said that humiliating isn't a punishment. Thats the person trying to punish someone else going down to the level of the person being punished, it looks bad in front of other people.

Finening him with minerals isn't a punishment. What can you do with/without minerals?

Argh, this is not happening... this is stupid!!!!! the topic of this forum is map making, not ban members because they exploit a BUG (god made bugs so people could exploit them) for get minerals.
So the minerals are more important than members right now? SEN is losing a lot of good things that it had...

A suspension and insults from us is all he truley deserves for exploiting the forums. As Neo stated a week would be fine. Also maybe a higher character count needed to add minerals, and fix the old exploit of course.

Anyways right to the point, DK said this all started when Kow found a bug. All his spamming actions were done after he found the bug and had nothing to do with it.
