- Good job, Isolated and MM.
- Alot of people I am disappointed about
- "You may only post one(1) version of each map." is a  censored.gif  rule, people can submit as many versions as they want, the "one version" rule only appies to the creator, or if the version is a good one, even if it is older.
- I wish the people would stop bashing each other and acting like morons. The moderators need to moderate as a an unbiased whole instead of favouring certain topics and people.
- And SC-X/\/\asta -{BAnNeD} was banned because he was submitting crap and I didn't feel like taking his bull censored.gif  anymore.

Yoshi would be surprised that I made that rule. Here is why as he might know I am in the Map Team and I approve maps. Almost every week I find a map that has been submitted twice but with the same version. I don't like haveing the same map twice, I also regret saying that having a map with 50 different versions is annoying.
IE: YourMap v1.0
YourMap v1.1
YouMap v1.2

Why don't they just update their old map.
Some people can't update other maps because the other submitter isn't active or they haven't gotten it yet. The new submitter then submits the new version as a whole new file instead of asking me(or some other map team) to update the old one.

I had my reasons and every approved except yoshi.

I'm quite confused. I don't understand what yoshi's problem with the rule is... or if he has a problem with members not following this rule?

Anyways, for some maps, it shouldn't matter how many versions are in the dldb.
Diplomancy 7.3, ,7.5, and 7.7 are all still played... People like a certain version better and play that (probably because they like to spam german tanks in 7.3... but none the less). This example follows most arena type games...
However, if YourMap v1.1 is an rpg or a bound, there really is no reason why it can't just be updated.

That's what Yoshi's been saying... Multiple versions should be allowed in the database since some of them are still good -.-

Hi "mysterious" person!

Oooo so mysterious.... tongue.gif

I know there are some maps with more than one version in the DLDB which I think is good.
The problem with what I said is that I don't want people updating maps by submitting/making a whole new file in the DLDB, it would be better to click update and thats it.

It would be very terrible to have those 190 bounds which on avergare 3 different versions each.

Mysterious huh?

What about a map review, You want to update the map but it's been reviewed and editting the map name will cause the name change in the review. This will be a problem because if someone reviewed that there was a huge glitch, and you fix it and update the old map, the old review will still say that old glitch.

You would know that review was old by the date. If it was reviewed before the update then that review is an old review and some bugs may have been fixed.
Or it was me editing the file ID page.

Oooo... good point. I'll add some type of automatic comment in the reviews like
"Since this review, the map has been updated." And then! When you message your reviewer to update your review, it'll disappear.

Sometimes, I go into the map description box and I fix a couple of erreor, msotly spelling, but when I click Edit or Submit(I don't remember how it was called), it made the changes but it said Updated (XDAY/XMOnth/XYear).

Updates whould be when you update the file not any text in there.
