- "You may only post one(1) version of each map." is a censored.gif rule, people can submit as many versions as they want, the "one version" rule only appies to the creator, or if the version is a good one, even if it is older.
Yoshi would be surprised that I made that rule. Here is why as he might know I am in the Map Team and I approve maps. Almost every week I find a map that has been submitted twice but with the same version. I don't like haveing the same map twice, I also regret saying that having a map with 50 different versions is annoying.
IE: YourMap v1.0
YourMap v1.1
YouMap v1.2
Why don't they just update their old map.
Some people can't update other maps because the other submitter isn't active or they haven't gotten it yet. The new submitter then submits the new version as a whole new file instead of asking me(or some other map team) to update the old one.
I had my reasons and every approved except yoshi.
I'm quite confused. I don't understand what yoshi's problem with the rule is... or if he has a problem with members not following this rule?
Anyways, for some maps, it shouldn't matter how many versions are in the dldb.
Diplomancy 7.3, ,7.5, and 7.7 are all still played... People like a certain version better and play that (probably because they like to spam german tanks in 7.3... but none the less). This example follows most arena type games...
However, if YourMap v1.1 is an rpg or a bound, there really is no reason why it can't just be updated.
