Report, edit, etc...Posted by Robi on 2004-12-19 at 12:05:00
Hello ! I am wondering if a list of players research already exists ??
I ever know that, but, it is a full research ? Does everything has been searched and nothing other can be found ?
if something can be found, plz vote and i'll see if we start that project...

not in topic : if someone want to see a list of units above 228 research, go here...

I don't really understand what is left to be "researched". DK has researched just about everything worth knowing.

There's also my heavily outdated research in my signature. Which doesn't exist anymore. Remind me to reupload to SEN. tongue.gif

Edit: Done.

Also: The reason we don't see much of this research is that it is different on non-Windows systems, usually being crashing.

The screenshots in Player 14+ research still don't work though.

If there was to be any other research, it would have to be extended units with P14+, that could be interesting, lol.

The player research is incomplete. There is still the player 19 "text codes" and player alliance from, as well as some other things. Just recently someone has discovered how to alter player 255's colour without triggers.

BTW Robi, do you mind keeping your 228+ research in html format?

muahahaha u just didn't went to ! it's just a simple page with two links ! one for openoffice and the other for microsoft office version ! smile.gif i'm not a bull censored.gif !
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-12-25 at 08:44:39
I did go to the link, but none of those work for me, because I don't have open office or microsoft office or whatever, and many other people probably don't either. Html takes LESS time to load anyway.

nope ! html are horrible !
just download openoffice ! it roxs !

Just make a damn HTML version.
Not everyone has open or Microshaft Office.
I've never even heard of them.
And I don't see why I should waste my time to download some probably censored.gif ty program that probably does absolutely nothing that I can't already do and want to do already, when you could just spend a little time converting it to HTML, or perhaps even just converting it to .txt, .doc, or similar, which comes standard with Winblows.
It's not like it takes long.
If the time it would probably take, total, for all the people who want to view it to download the programs required, install, and use is more than 3x the time it would take you to just make it compatible for them yourself, then, in my opinion, you should just do it yourself.

"nope ! html are horrible !"
Explain...

Also, I'd be willing to devote some of my time to testing players, but not much.
First off, they've already been tested, so the chances of me finding something new are slim.
Secondly, I'd rather spend that time pondering on what I'm going to put in my never-to-be-finished-maps tongue.gif

You say u can open .doc ? then u have microsoft office, so you can open the microsoft office one, huh, .... omg well I will do this alone and it'll be available in 5 years if i don't stop starcrafting....
Anyway, stop i'll NEVER make an .html, i keep my mind. And i don't want to explain, it's a choice.

If you want help me, u'll need map hack

Sorry but I don't like to deliberately put something that is backdoored on my computer. The map hack has a backdoor. Lol.

Oh and the "crashes SF". Just highlight the unit and move away from it, then change it to that number. It will not crash SF then. Also try using Player 14, to freeze the units. Some crash with their animation, so P14 can prevent that.

Example: P14 can fix the attack hover crashes because the unit can not move.

Also for the units that "die", you can find out the unit they were before, if they have shields/energy, etc. Some units have abilities too, like if you select the unit with other units, you might see them. Some units are also affected by the upgrades you have, or the mineral ammount of a unit.

Example: The hp of unit 250 would probably be determined by the mineral cost of another unit. I have been researching the memory of Starcraft for a bit to find out all extended unit statistics. I will provide you with the statistics in the future.

so, does this have anything to do with creating a unit with, say, 60 for it's property? If it doesn't, what good is this? What is the point of starforge having 60 different types of properties for a unit? (Yes, I realize some of the properties will keep the unit from being created.)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-12-30 at 13:55:45
There are 64 in Starforge, and in any map. The create units with properties trigger in Starforge is incomplete. You know how you can only have 64 create units with properties triggers in Staredit? Well that's what it refers to.

But, no, it has nothing to do with extended units, which was what I was talking about.
