The site was just recently updated and is now far beyond anyone making personal webpages anywhere (Not including Blizzard). Period.

I feel that the next webpage layout I make for XeN will be the one that is Blizzard material. If that is the case, I will probably be working there some day. Anyway, take a look see!

Yeah it's not GREAT, it's ok. It looks too much like Blizzard's...

That's the point, I am working on my skills so that one day I am able to make the same webpages as them and work there. You guys try the design I made. Draw the layout like I did, and tell me it isn't great. Oh, but I have yet to see any other personal sites out there as good.

Ever hear of something called 'modesty'?
The design isn't too great.
The white and gray contrast each other too heavily, and are hard on the eyes.
It looks too overly deocrated and space wasteful;
As in, there's too much useless junk that doesn't do anything, and just gets in the way.
The left/right textures seem to be the exact same.
The bottom becomes just plain black.
The textures don't look very appealing anyways.
The choice of texture locations isn't that great.

You have yet to see something better?
I have yet to see something that's as decorative and probably took as long as that that looks worse.

I could probably make a better looking website if you gave me the right html knowledge, and enough time.

Also, looks pretty different from the Blizzard page and style.
The Blizzard webpage has a nice black background, without ugly stone-wanna-bes that don't do anything besides wasting space.
I could go on, but my mom's getting angry at me, and I'm tired of pointing out differences between some ugly(no offence, but I tend toward more blank pages) website that's made by someone who doesn't understand that there's a possibility that people don't like it.

and it isn't so great like you mentioned.
It's pretty good besides the coloring.

PS:Your info about Starcraft is very incorrect.
Do some research and fix your summary on the races.

The site is in it's infant stages, and I am open to suggestions like the colors. But with the right HTML knowledge and enough time, you could probably build a rocket and start a new life on Mars, I fail to see where you want to go with this.



Where is it incorrect? Or do you not want to open your mouth and possibly look like a fool?

For my first attempt at a site of this scale, it is pretty ing awesome. This is the only place I have got bad reviews. So maybe all you resentful untalented big mouths should try making sites like mine and put in the hours. Might be a good thing for the internet considering all the filth I see.

I wanted some feedback, and I expected issues, but this forums is like a nest of depression and negativity. Not only do I out do all of your web designing skills, but I doubt anyone here can match my map making talent for StarCraft either. Sad how resentful this board is. I have been working on a map to:

I darkened the site just now as people were right about the brightness. That's the kind of feedback I wanted, not 3 comments in a row that are negative but don't contribute anything point-ful for me to chew on. I hate that.

You gunna prove that? because even the terrain for that map isnt something someone would 'awww' or 'ooooh' about, its something i go 'haha' or 'wtf'?

You overrate youself waay to much, you show off to much, and um...i don't see you having any skill so far.

So open your moms basement curtins and get some shunshine you geek.

Actually Void, the terrain to that is very amazing, and I would like to see you proove if you can do better.

As for the site, I dont know what you people mean by the wanna be stone and stuff, I think it looks great and theres nothing wrong with it..

You dont know him and you have no right to judge him like that, Infact if you want to throw the geek comments out theres about 90% of you that sit on your computer all day.. The site is way to empty, it takes up liek 1/3 of my screen.

The terrain for the map took a month. The map is 192x192, and I free-styled with the 1x1 square tool. Every building and road and land-mark is unique as if it were a real city. I terra-formed the entire thing manually. And I don't see anyone else showing me up with their maps or sites. So your words mean nothing.

Don't pick on MDZ because he can be a man, and admit something good when he sees it. It's called intuition and respect. Maybe you guys need to hit puberty. I guess I was mistaken to bring my art here. Out-spoken jealousy is the weapon of a nobody. This is why I took so long to start posting on this forum, and I will now stop.

Whats the point of asking for out opinnion if you say we suck because we are saying our opinnion? There is no point. Might as well make a post saying "Say it is good for my site" not "I am asking for your opinnion but if you say something I dont like I hate you".

terrain is sexy but looks boring (just terrain duh)

Well, because we don't all agree, though I wish we did.
I just find it annoying when someone makes a website that's trying to copy the style someone else, and asks for reviews, then starts getting defensive and saying he's the 1337 uber pr0 of w3bs1t3 d3s1gn 4nd 73rr41ning.(website design and terraining)



Also, now that, I forgot who, mentions it, ya, some of the information is off.

Shoot em up? That's exactly what Blizzard is trying NOT to do!

That's what the Terrans are doing. What they wish to do is explore.

Also, even as he changes the site, he brings new problems into it.

And I agree with Kaboom.
Timaeus made a thread asking for our opinions.
I stated my opinion.
It's not good. And that Timaeus is bragging too much. Jealousy? Perhaps if there were something to be jealous of, but as it is, there is none.
I gave 7 reasons as to why I don't like it, along with a comparison to the Blizzard site...
And then suddenly you(Zealot) and Timaeus decide that if we don't like the site, it must therefore be because we're all jealous dumbasses.

I could go on longer, but Timaeus probably won't be coming back after seeing that people don't worship him the moment they see his art, and Zealot doesn't seem to think that logic and reason are good things to use in arguments.
