I am making this poll public for everyone to vote becasue your maps may be reviewed without you requesting for it.

BTW: IP I have a bug in Map Reviews, I can't make a review when that map has no request. In the DLDB I see the optin to write a review on every map but I can't submit the review.

Map Reviewers should be able to comment and rate of maps they chose themselves (popular maps) instead of maps that probably aren't as played on BNet.

I think people should choose to have their map rated, or else there will be way to many random maps being rated crazy.gif. Unless the map has at least a decent rating and a good ammount of other people like it, it should be reviewed without a request wink.gif.

You gotta make it so that ppl cansubmit as many number of maps they want to be reviewed as possible.

Yes, because there are no review to write and High wants to prove himself

I think it should be made so that people can request for reviews and that the Map Team can review any other map. I had written a really big review of uberena and found out that I couldn't submit it.

Did you save it at least?
I'll do some work on the review script after I play with the zerg pets script...

Of course I saved it, it was like 3000 chars big and I didn't want to lose it. Problem is when I saved to Notepad it kinda screwed up making the entire paragraph into one line.

Ah... should be working now wink.gif

The public has a right to know the authenticity and quality of maps. This will also make sure that your reviewers actually check the maps *cough cough*.

Map Reviewers should be able to review any map they see fit, hell it would be nice if when a map is approved it's reviewed right then and there. The public needs to be informed so they don't download a crappy map!

I'm still sad I'm off the team. tongue.gif

I could review a bound if yall want wink.gif

don't believe there's any reason to review bounds...
that's why it's not included in the catagories from what people can request map reviews for
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BeeR_KeG on 2004-12-24 at 12:29:33
Then it's settled, Map team and MA can review any map that they see fit without the authors knowing.
If we want to review a bound we'll do it but it's up to the reviewer.
Reviewing about 1k maps won't be posible.

Thats really bias isolated. If people want to write reveiws on a bound and people want to read about it let them don't disallow it because you think its dumb.

It's just that there's no real depth to a bound. I'm sure you might be able to find 1 or 2 bounds that just defy the crappy stereotypical bound...
But how are you going to prove any orginality in your bound? or enough creativity to wow people? and terrain? the what, colors of the running stips or how cool the minimap picture is?

Although I'm far from finished, the review section is meant to glorify the awesome maps that people will love playing. Since when do bounds recieve glory?
All I see is spite towards them.

The maps should be reviewed if they has effort put into them. You should revivew the maps people spent alot of hard work on. Don't review a map that could have taken like an hour to make thats just a waste of a review. Bounds should be judged on the originality of the obstacles and if the terrain layout looks like it took time to get.

I'm with Bolt, at least allow the reviewers to do Bounds. It would then be their choice whether or not to review a bound or not (and I think we know they'd most likely not do it - but at least they'd have the choice).
